What is an autotroph?
It refers to an organism that obtains energy and nutrition by synthesizing organic substances by itself. Autotrophic organisms can use non-organic substances (such as sunlight and inorganic substances) for photosynthesis or chemical synthesis to convert inorganic substances into organic substances. Autotrophic organisms are the foundation of ecosystem, which can provide energy and organic matter for other organisms.
