Liu Shaowu (1907-2004), a native of Xiangyuan County, Shanxi Province, was the founder of the theory of three-thirds and six diseases, and one of the first 500 Chinese medicine experts in China. I liked history since I was a child and began to teach myself the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. 1924, he hung a pot in Xiangzi, which was famous for its repeated sinking. 1930, Youren Hospital was established in Changzhi City, which is affiliated to Youren Medical Association. It is well-known in southeastern Shanxi Province and has trained many famous doctors for the local area. Later, it was moved to Xi and Tianshui. 1944 took the examination of Xi' an in the National Examinations Institute and obtained the certificate of Chinese medicine practitioner. After liberation, he served as the chief physician of Taiyuan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of Taiyuan Municipal People's Congress, a member of Taiyuan CPPCC, a member of Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and a member of Shanxi Drug Evaluation Committee. 1990 was named as one of the first batch of 500 inheritors of academic experience of TCM experts in state administration of traditional chinese medicine.
