Historical inheritance
He Niantang established a health store, which gave full play to the role of traditional Chinese medicine and achieved remarkable results. It was highly praised by royalty, celebrities, saints and ordinary people in various dynasties. The existing plaques in the Henian Hall are of unusual origin: it is said that the plaque hanging in the main hall was written by Yan Song, the first official (prime minister) of the Ming Dynasty, who later became a traitor.
On both sides of this plaque, there are two plaques with the essence of the health care concept of Heniantang inscribed by Qi Jiguang, an anti-Japanese hero. When Qi Jiguang successfully returned to North Korea in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he specially wrote Picking Red Arrows and Green Zhi and Jade Pivot Standard Edition for Heniantang to praise the excellent quality of medicinal materials and classics.
Yang Jiaoshan, a famous minister in Ming Dynasty, also greatly appreciated the nourishing heart and remarkable health care effect of Heniantang, and specially wrote a couplet, "If you want to nourish and live longer, you must be eclectic." Through the development of successive generations, the theory and method of health care in Heniantang have been gradually enriched and improved, and a master of health care in traditional Chinese medicine has been formed, which integrates food and nutrition, medicated diet, dynamic adjustment and TCM diagnosis and treatment.
