There is a blank space in the footer of word, as if there is no content. There may be some editing tags that are not visible in page view.

At this time, you can switch from Page View to Normal View, and you can clearly see page breaks, column breaks, carriage returns, etc. Just use the delete key "Delete" to delete them.

How to switch to Normal View and delete the separator:

1. Click View-> Normal View button to switch to Normal View;

2. In normal view, all kinds of editing marks are obvious, so you can use Delete key to delete redundant editing marks.
