Reflection on Killing Order
Before enjoying this film, you should know the fundamental purpose of Taoism, so that you can have better taste.

Taoism, as the native belief of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor, has a long history.

Since ancient times, the immortal magic has integrated the essence of hundreds of schools, especially Confucianism, Mohism, Yi, Yin and Yang, and derived Taoism.

Its essence is Taoist nature, harmony between man and nature, goodness like water, weakness beyond dispute, natural inaction, helping the world and helping the poor.

His ancestral meaning is close to Buddhism, and his positive and optimistic spirit is of great benefit to self-cultivation and governing the country.

Mr. Lu Xun once said: China's roots are all in Taoism.

Stop Killing Order tells the story of Qiu Chuji, a Taoist priest, who stopped Genghis Khan from killing in the Western Expedition. He preached that God is good at producing evil and killing, and virtue is as soft and tough as water.

Back to the movie.

The story begins with the magnificent history of Genghis Khan's expedition to the west and is divided into three sections.

The first paragraph: Wendeng asks for rain.

On the way to the western expedition, the Mongolian army was plagued by plague. Genghis Khan sent Liu Zhonglu, an official close to Wei's family, to invite Qiu Chuji, a true fairy, to talk about mountains.

Qiu Chuji was concerned about the drought in Wendeng, and he prayed for rain with all his heart, and it rained.

Qiu Chuji believed that God urged him to go west and persuaded Genghis Khan to stop killing Banshi Donghai.

Qiu Chuji bid farewell to all his disciples and clansmen and embarked on the road to the west.

The shooting scene is magnificent, from the desert to the snow-capped mountains to the sea, the sky is high and the road is far, and the seasons change, all of which are distinct.

However, the most beautiful is Kunyu Mountain.

The mountains are green and the water is green, and the white fog is curling; Waterfalls splash jade, and the lake is clear; Old houses, winding by the lake; The crane flew by, and its voice was beautiful and pleasant.

This scene is like a fairy mountain on earth. Qiu Chuji practices Buddhism here, which really gives people the feeling of harmony between man and nature.

The main point of this passage is that all cultivation of immortals and monasteries should conform to God's will, and Taoism is natural. Traveling to the West is not only a kind of moral cultivation, but also a obedience to God's will.

This kind of situation makes people's feelings naturally blend in and feel that it is appropriate.

The plot setting and shooting techniques correspond to each other, exquisite and natural.

Here, there are three details that are memorable.

First Qiu Chuji begged for rain, and it began to rain. Rain falls on everyone's face, and blood falls on Qiu Chuji's palm.

Water is the source of life, just as blood is the foundation of the body.

In the eyes of the world, water is just water; In Qiu Chuji's eyes, water is blood.

Only when there is water in the body can blood flow, which is the unity of heaven and man.

It's amazing to use this simple and clear way of comparison to explain the difficult Tao! 2. Qiu Chuji's parting words: Don't be famous, don't flatter yourself, don't be self-righteous, don't talk nonsense, don't indulge in sensual food, help the world and people, be kind to everything, be soft and indisputable, be anxious, save the poor and ask for nothing in return.

This message basically contains the true meaning of Taoism, and it is easy to understand, touching people's hearts, worthy of our secular people's thinking, and can also be used as a code of conduct.

Third, Qiu Chuji waved back the tiger, and Liu Zhonglu was greatly awed.

Qiu Chuji said: Living in the mountains for a long time, I keep company with tigers and wolves every day, and I have no intention of hunting animals. Tiger's claws are useless.

In other words, everything is spiritual, born with the tide, without struggle, everything is natural and peaceful.

This is not only the magic of sighing, but also the foreshadowing of another detail that persuaded Genghis Khan later.

The second paragraph: Walking westward.

Qiu Chuji took his disciple Zhao Daoan to the west with Liu Zhonglu. The scenery along the way was beautiful, devastated, difficult and dangerous, but no matter when and where, Qiu Chuji never forgot to promote Taoism, or practice or advise.

The film directly or indirectly reflects Taoism everywhere, advancing layer by layer and expressing the theme.

Not Genghis Khan, but the audience.

This is the bright spot.

In fact, only one-third of Genghis Khan was really convinced by this drama, and all the previous ones were foreshadowing.

This process is very important.

It embodies the spirit of Taoism through Qiu Chuji's words and deeds, and lets the audience enter the world of Taoism. When they understand, they will understand why Genghis Khan was finally persuaded, and everything is logical.

If you don't understand, then apply my favorite sentence in the film: fearless and hopeless.

Such a plot can't make you feel awe and pity, then you are hopeless.

There are too many wonderful places in this passage, and there are many civil and military dramas.

I'll just choose four scenes to say.

Act I: Yehuling retreats bandits.

When attacked by bandits, everyone was captured. The bandit leader saw through Qiu Chuji's identity from his actions and was very respectful. Everyone turned the corner.

Qiu Chuji's trick is called "a gust of wind hand", but it is not a trick in Qiu Chuji's eyes, just following the trend.

A seemingly simple line actually implies Tao.

Bandits are like tigers and wolves, but they also have awe of their fellow villagers. Their nature is not hopeless, which coincides with the later Taoist motto "be fearless and save everything".

Scene 2: Dead City Buries Bodies.

Qiu Chuji heard the crying, but they didn't see the stranger. They only went to a dead city.

Qiu Chuji killed him in tears and had his body buried.

This is, of course, to promote the compassion of Taoism, and also to let people cultivate Xiu De through practice.

In the process of burial, the decay of the body is terrible, which is a silent accusation against these former killers. They will think that there will be subtle changes in spirit and subtle influences.

Act III: The Stone Forest is in distress.

In the Stone Forest, * * * people raided, and later Mongolian reinforcements (to meet Qiu Chuji) turned the situation around and won * * * people in one fell swoop.

When Liu Zhonglu wanted to kill the prisoners, Qiu Chuji advised: People will die, but hatred will not.

Behind hatred is fear, and only those who are fearless are hopeless.

This sentence is the core of the whole film.

Why can Qiu Chuji stop killing with his last words? That's because Genghis Khan fears immortality. According to the Tao, he can be saved, so his killing will eventually stop.

Fearless people, human nature can't be saved, so they have their own heaven.

This is the so-called compliance.

Scene 4: The Death of Daoan.

Qiu Chuji passed through the snow-capped mountains to help the hungry and was weak.

Zhao Daoan picked snow lotus to save Qidan girl and died.

Qiu Chuji Daxie.

Liu Zhonglu wants to send someone to send Zhao back to Kunyu Mountain for burial. Qiu Chuji said, He's enlightened, so it's no harm to stay here.

Zhao lay down his life to save people. This is good, and it is natural to get the Tao. His soul has ascended to heaven, but his body is just an empty shell and will die. This is the unity of heaven and man.

The third paragraph: stop killing in one word.

After a journey of 35,000 miles, Qiu Chuji finally met Genghis Khan. Qiu Chuji admitted that there is no elixir of life, only the way to preserve one's health.

Genghis Khan admired his honesty and asked him to stay and talk about it.

Half a year, Qiu Chuji seized every opportunity to persuade Genghis Khan to stop killing, and finally made Genghis Khan return to the East.

There are three places in this paragraph that impressed me deeply.

First, Qiu Chuji treated the plague with water and herbs.

He used water as a metaphor, saying that water is the greatest gift from heaven (eternal life), and should not live up to the goodwill of water, but be good as water.

Second, I mentioned earlier the foreshadowing of Qiu Chuji's retreat from the tiger, echoing Genghis Khan's encounter with wild boar here.

Qiu Chuji seized the opportunity that the wild boar didn't hurt Genghis Khan alone, and motioned for God to kill him. God bless him, and he should obey God's will to stop killing.

The third is to attack Barihei.

In this tragic war, Genghis Khan's grandson was shot dead by an arrow.

In fact, this is also the phrase "there is nothing to be afraid of, and it is hopeless."

Children are ignorant, natural and fearless, and do not understand the cruelty of war, which leads to tragedy.

Genghis Khan was extremely indignant at this time, and the war was even more tragic.

Qiu Chuji was overwhelmed, and when he left, he complained that he couldn't live up to heaven.

Genghis Khan finally moved and ordered to stop killing.

It is worth mentioning that the war scene is magnificent and vividly reproduces the ancient battlefield.

The last vine sprouted, and people came back from the dead, which was a bit of a myth.

If this is true, I can only say that it is a coincidence and a trick.

Qiu Chuji should have known that the two kinds of pills were only temporary coma, but he seized the opportunity and took advantage of it, which made people feel awe of Taoism and strengthened Genghis Khan's idea of stopping killing.

This is to follow the trend and make things better.

Finally, I sent a farewell poem by Qiu Chuji: Yesterday, bloom was full of trees, and no one was poor in life and death.

A hundred years of glory is like a dream.

Your road is bloom's, but life and death are endless. The prosperity of the world is gone, but it's just a passing sight.

I appreciate it, please savor it.

Looking at the whole film, from the scene, whether it is Kunyu Mountain with fairy wind or Bohai Bay with sea flowers flying; Whether it is the lonely wild fox ridge at dusk or the lifeless dead city; Whether it is a steep stone forest or a snow-capped mountain wrapped in silver; Whether it is a quicksand desert or a grassy grassland, it is magnificent and beautiful, and it can only be sighed naturally and magically.

In shooting, the literary drama is exquisite and the martial arts drama is true.

Exquisite props, exquisite clothes

The most valuable thing is the screenwriter, who is thoughtful, ingenious in design, interlocking and echoing from afar. Every line has meaning, no nonsense, and get to the point.

I haven't seen such a thick and not boring historical and cultural film for a long time, which is worth appreciating again and again.
