Why does the solid wood floor have color difference?
Causes of color difference of solid wood flooring;

1, the formation of color difference: the comprehensive influence of early wood and late wood, sapwood and core wood forms the natural texture change and color of wood.

2. Early wood refers to tree species in temperate and cold regions. The parts that usually grow in early season (spring and summer) are soft and light in color; Late wood refers to tree species in temperate and cold regions, generally growing in late season (autumn and winter), with hard texture and dark color. The slower the growth rate, the longer the growth age of wood, and the greater the difference in color and wood properties between sapwood and core wood. The color difference between sapwood and core wood of fast-growing wood is not obvious, but the color difference between sapwood and core wood of slow-growing precious tree species is large

3. A big tree has experienced the baptism of time, thousands of years of wind and rain, sun and rain, and formed one texture after another. The special texture formed by wood in the morning and evening is called annual rings. However, in the process of tree growth, it is inevitable that the trunk will fall and the branches will break. Although the epidermis is damaged, the organic matter of the tree itself will accumulate in the damaged area and eventually form a tumor-like scar. Worm eyes and scars are just the most beautiful traces left by time to trees. It is the totem of nature and time, and it is the proof to contend with wind and rain. But the big tree turned it into the softest coat, turned it into the texture of solid wood floor, and made the floor logs beautiful.

4. Therefore, it is impossible for solid wood flooring to achieve the complete unity of texture and color through artificial and industrialized methods like laminate flooring and multi-storey flooring. These rough or delicate textures, knots and abnormal growth are not flaws, but the embodiment of the authenticity, naturalness and preciousness of wood. Just as there are no two identical leaves in the world, every piece of solid wood is unique and cannot be copied. Color difference can be regarded as one of the signs of solid wood flooring. A "solid wood floor" that has no color difference and looks very consistent may not be a real solid wood floor, but printed or veneered.

Solid wood flooring is a floor decoration material made by drying natural wood. Also known as log floor, it is a floor directly processed from solid wood. It has the natural growth texture of wood, is a bad conductor of heat, can play the role of warm in winter and cool in summer, has the characteristics of comfortable feet and safe use, and is an ideal material for floor decoration such as bedroom, living room and study.

Drying method

Because the equilibrium moisture content of wood in Shanghai is 14.8%, the moisture content of floors used in Shanghai should be controlled at 7% ~ 14.8%.

process

(1) Natural drying takes about 30 ~ 40 days to make the water content reach about 30%.

(2) Artificial drying takes about 10 ~ 30 days to make the water content below 10%. At the same time, the pulp juice in wood is distilled, which balances the tissue of wood cell wall and makes the drying shrinkage tend to be stable and consistent.

(3) The curing treatment takes about 10 ~ 20 days. Through this process, the three purposes of wood drying are finally achieved.

Dry balance treatment is called heat treatment. The time of this treatment will vary with different materials, but it cannot be artificially shortened. There is a misunderstanding in sales that the heat-treated floor will never deform. In fact, this is impossible. No matter how it is treated, it is inevitable that the moisture content of wood changes below the fiber saturation point.

Solid wood flooring is made of wood and processed from top to bottom with unified materials. Because wood has many advantages such as easy processing, low thermal conductivity, moderate impact and strong durability, solid wood flooring has become the most popular flooring material at present. Solid wood flooring is divided into flat, tongue-and-groove, flat, vertical, vertical and laminated wood flooring. The common solid wood floor is tongue and groove, and the surface is high-grade polyester varnish. The indicators related to solid wood floor are processing accuracy, substrate defects, surface paint quality, moisture content and so on.
