The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hainan Medical College was approved by Hainan Medical College in May 2008 and established on the basis of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hainan Medical College. It has jurisdiction over three undergraduate majors: Chinese medicine, clinical Chinese and Western medicine, acupuncture and massage. The school-running philosophy of College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is to follow the educational law, be people-oriented, be employment-oriented, take teaching as the center, rely on specialty construction, take curriculum construction as the core, focus on ability training, serve the local economy, promote the all-round development of students, and realize the coordinated development of school-running scale, quality, structure and benefit. The level of running a school is mainly undergraduate education. In terms of specialty setting, with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education, Hainan Medical College opened the undergraduate major of traditional Chinese medicine in 2002; In 2003, the clinical undergraduate major of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine was established; In 2006, the undergraduate major of acupuncture and massage was set up; In 2009, Hainan Medical College opened 1 Chinese medicine specialty (health care direction). The history of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine can be traced back to 1973, which established the Teaching and Research Group of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 1999 jointly organized a class of College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In July, 20001year, Chinese medicine department was established on the basis of Chinese medicine department and acupuncture department of affiliated hospital. In May 2007, according to the deployment of the College Party Committee, the establishment of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was started, and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was formally established in May 2008.
