How to raise bees?
Short-headed marsupial

Honeysuckle is also called Australian flying kangaroo, sugar bag and flying mouse. Cute in appearance, good in viscosity and easy to carry, it has become a "small honey" for more and more people. So, how should such a petite creature be raised?

First, diet

1. staple food

Beeswallows are Nocturnal Animals, close to herbivorous omnivores, and the best feeding time is in the evening. In the natural environment, they prefer sweets, such as flowers, nectar and pollen, and also eat tree buds, sap, leaves and seeds. Insects are also one of their food sources. Under artificial feeding, in addition to supplying bait in the market, they can also refer to their eating habits in the natural environment, provide their favorite fruits, nectar and other sweets as food sources, and don't eat ice food, otherwise it will easily lead to death.

2. Other foods

Pineapple, peach, strawberry, melon, papaya, apricot, pumpkin, juice, blueberry, dried fruit, peanut, raisin, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, dried pea and almond.

3. Dietary principles

A. The content of protein shall not be less than 25%, and it is better to be higher than 50% during the breeding period.

B. provide clean drinking water at any time.

C. regularly supplement vitamins and minerals such as calcium.

D. give less food with high fat and high polysaccharide.

Second, the feeding precautions

1. is very sensitive to pesticides, pine sawdust, poisonous plants, direct glare and other animals.

2. The grid of cage bottom should not be too large, and the spacing between cage wires should be between 1 ~ 1.2cm.

3. It is best not to use a hole-shaped opening in the cage, which is easy to repel the honey owner. It's best to have two or three sleeping bags made of cotton cloth, and don't use towel cloth, because fibers may cause harm.

4. Eucalyptus branches must be placed in cages, which is conducive to preventing dental diseases and health.

5. Food nutrition is 75% vegetables and fruits, 25% other protein sources, and occasionally some omnivores and vitamins and minerals.

6. It is best not to use sawdust as bedding material. First, the volatile oil contained in some sawdust can easily lead to respiratory allergy of bees. Second, it is difficult to treat intestinal obstruction caused by bees eating sawdust by mistake!

The petite and lovely appearance of the honey dew reminds you all the time: it must be carefully maintained.
