In fact, the soul essence of Wushu is "Qi". "When the gas gathers, it will be born, and when the gas disperses, it will die." Wushu is about "practicing one breath inside and one muscle and one skin outside". Gaining momentum is the highest pursuit of Wushu, which is consistent with the courage and heroism endowed by wine.
Any boxing school has three forms: martial arts training, routine drills and fighting methods. In history, Wushu used to be one of the important contents of self-defense, WTO entry, self-cultivation and practice. The so-called "learning to prepare for war, a gentleman's business." Therefore, Wushu naturally has the characteristics of general sports: it is characterized by the body and is valued.
It is different from other sports in the following aspects:
(a) the trinity of achievement, routine and attack.
Achievement method, or internal skill, is the basis of routine drills and attack techniques. "If you don't practice boxing, you will be empty." This Wulin proverb vividly illustrates the position of internal strength in Wushu. The awareness of attack and defense is the common attribute of all kinds of boxing. Every movement, even if it is a simple rise or fall, contains tricks to control the enemy and defend itself. Taiji biography seems soft and weak, but the actual moves have the ability to make people want to stop. It is this unique sense of fighting that makes Wushu have unique appreciation value and aesthetic characteristics compared with routine drills characterized by performance, such as dance and acrobatics. Moreover, the strict requirements of martial arts make martial arts have a unique value of self-cultivation compared with other sports, so that martial arts athletes can be older than all sports.
(2) There is an international saying that "boxing begins with the Book of Changes and is based on medicine".
It can be seen that China Wushu is closely related to the traditional culture of China. Whether it is the philosophical concepts of Yin and Yang, Five Elements, Taiji, Eight Diagrams, or the Confucian ethics of statecraft, whether it is the dialectical thinking of doctors or the way of change of military strategists, it has had a far-reaching impact on China Wushu.
Wushu is also closely related to dance, opera and acrobatics.
As early as the Zhou Dynasty, "Wushu Dance" was the main content of important ceremonies, and Wushu was regarded as an important basic kung fu in all kinds of dances. Traditional operas in China pay equal attention to both civil and military arts, and acrobatic programs such as "Bowing", "Knife and Axe Dancing", "Great Martial Arts" and "Little Martial Arts" are also directly derived from Wushu.
(3) China Wushu is an important part of China folk culture.
China is a multi-ethnic country, and all ethnic groups have their own boxing routines. At the same time, Wushu is also indispensable in various folk or religious festivals.
Due to the above reasons, China Wushu has formed a completely different cultural character from general sports activities, with a unique aesthetic pursuit, emphasizing understanding, inspiration and infatuation.
