Korea University, referred to as Korea University for short, is a private university in Seoul, South Korea. It is also known as Korea University with Seoul University and Yonsei University. The school is also a member of the Pacific Rim University Alliance, the Asia-Pacific International Trade Education and Research Alliance, the founding member of the Asia-Pacific International Education Association, the outstanding engineering university of South Korea BK2/KLOC-0, and the university ice hockey alliance. Founded in 1905, formerly known as private Pucheng College, it is the first higher education institution founded by private capital in Korea.

QS World University Ranking is an annual world university ranking published by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British international education market consulting company. QS Company initially cooperated with Times Higher Education to jointly launch the -QS World University Ranking, which was first released in 2004 and is an earlier global university ranking. Since 20 10, QS and QQ have terminated their cooperation and started to publish their respective world university rankings. QS Global Education Group generally updates its ranking every summer.
