Under the guidance of people, he went to Tiantai Mountain and worshipped Xie Xichun, a Taoist priest in Tongbai Palace. Later, he inherited the mantle of Master Xie and took over as the abbot of Tongbai Palace in Tiantai Mountain, the southern Sect of Taoism, and became the 26th generation Taoist of Quanzhen Sect. This female Taoist is from Zhoushan. Her family lives in Zhamen Village, Qushan Island, Daishan County, and her common name is Ye Qiumei. In 1980s, he served as the president of Tiantai Taoist Association, honorary president of Tiantai Mountain Taoist Nanzong Ziyang Art Research Association, consultant of Taoist Culture Research Association, and member of the 5th and 6th CPPCC in Tiantai County.
Ye Qiumei was born in 1948. Since childhood, he has practiced health qigong with his father, learned to play Tai Ji Chuan, and is proficient in acupuncture, making him famous in the village. In the 1960s, a female militia was established in the village to conduct military training such as shooting. Ye Qiumei took an active part in military training and developed a good marksmanship. She can shoot with both hands and hit birds in the air. She is known as one of the six girls of coastal defense women militia.
