Qianling Mountain Scenic Area in Beijing is famous for its beautiful scenery. Jilefeng, the main peak, is 699 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in southwest Beijing. After the development and construction of past dynasties, it has become the largest cave temple group in Beijing. The main attractions are: Khufu Pavilion, Blissful Cave, Dajinfo, Blissful Peak and Ganling Pavilion.
Hufu Pavilion is a pointed building that imitates the hexagonal double eaves of Ming Dynasty. The story of Qianling Mountain monks laying down their lives to feed tigers is painted on the beams in the pavilion. Legend has it that a long time ago, there was a Taoist priest in Guanyin Cave. In order to save goats and rabbits, he cut off his leg meat twice and fed it to the tiger, which moved the tiger. Later, the tiger took the initiative to listen to the dharma and practice, protecting the monk. When Tang Wuzong destroyed the law, the tiger scared off the officers and men and saved Guanyin Cave from disaster, which became an eternal legend.
Jiledong
The Blissful Cave is located under the Blissful Peak of Qianling Mountain, and it is one of the earliest caves in Qianling Mountain that were transformed into Buddha caves. It is about 5m high and16m deep, covering an area of 80m2. According to the record of the immortal merit tablet in Dongkou, the earliest pioneer was a foreign monk, but I don't know the founding date. By the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, monks had already believed in this Buddhism. The brick shrine in the center of the cave was built in the Republic of China for the use of three buddhas in past lives. Eighteen arhats on both sides; In the small hole behind, there is Amitabha in the western paradise.
The brick niche in the cave is dedicated to Buddha III of Buddhism.
