Yunnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Secondary Vocational School is a national key secondary vocational school approved by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and recognized by the Ministry of Education. The school is invested by Yunnan Royal Medical Circle Group. As an ancient folk medicine culture in Yunnan Plateau, "Huangjia Medical Circle" has formed a development pattern integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, production, marketing, health preservation and network, and the group and the school have realized the advantages of talents, resources and equipment. It is a national nursing practice training base approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. It was rated as 4A-level unit by social organizations in China. The school is located in Ciba Education Zone, Beishi District, Kunming, adjacent to National Botanical Garden, Kunming Botanical Garden, Heilongtan Park and Yunnan Agricultural University. The school is supported by special funds from the provincial government and national financial funds. Since its establishment, it has invested more than RMB 1000 million every year to build laboratories for medicine, nursing and pharmacy, as well as a number of comprehensive skills training rooms for various majors integrating teaching, learning and training, and built a national nursing practice training base according to modern teaching standards. The majors offered involve medicine, nursing, pharmacy and biotechnology, among which nursing, pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine are the backbone majors in Yunnan Province.
