The nationally recognized doctor qualifications include: practicing doctor certificate (stamped by People's Republic of China (PRC) and Ministry of Health), practicing assistant doctor (stamped by People's Republic of China (PRC) and Ministry of Health), Chinese medicine (specialist) doctor qualification certificate (stamped by provincial administration of traditional Chinese medicine) and rural general practitioner (assistant) doctor (stamped by People's Republic of China (PRC)).

Taoist doctor's certificate, full name Taoist doctor's qualification certificate, is a certificate issued by China Folk Chinese Medicine Research and Development Association. The representative holder has the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of Taoist medicine (that is, folk Chinese medicine) and can engage in related medical work.
