6. Peel the yam. After peeling, cut the yam into pieces and soak it in water. The purpose of this is to prevent the oxidation of yam.

7. After stewing the ribs for 40 minutes, put the yam pieces in the pot and continue stewing 15 minutes.

8. Put the yam slices into the pot and season with salt.

9. Sprinkle a little chopped green onion before cooking.
