Hubei tourism has a far-reaching impact on the national economy. After 1998, tourism has been identified as a new growth point of the national economy, and all parties have paid more attention to tourism, and their understanding of tourism has become increasingly mature. The development of Hubei's tourism industry has gradually entered an upgraded and perfect stage of development. Hubei's tourism economic benefits have been significantly improved, overseas markets are more diversified, the domestic market level is clear, and the outbound tourism market is growing, showing a good overall prosperity (see Table 7-3 for details).

The tourism service level and supporting conditions in Hubei are good, and the supporting services of food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment have basically taken shape. Hubei cuisine, represented by Regan Noodles, Wuchang Fish and Jason Wu Duck Neck, is very famous in China. A large number of high-end hotels such as Wuhan Oriental Jianguo Hotel provide comfortable accommodation environment for tourists. Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Liu Jiao Railway and Spider Web expressway provide convenient transportation for tourism. A-level scenic spots represented by Three Gorges tourism products, Three Kingdoms cultural tourism products and Wudang Mountain make tourists linger; Changyi Road Convergence Shopping Center, Wansongyuan Road Xiyuan Shopping Center and other shopping malls have a dazzling array of goods for tourists from all walks of life to buy; Entertainment places such as International Film City, Water World City, Swimming Pool and Fitness Club add color to tourism.

Focusing on the theme of "legendary mountains and rivers, magnificent Hubei", Hubei is making great efforts to create a tourism sector with clear division of labor and obvious differences. Around Wuhan is the "half-city landscape and first-floor wind" represented by East Lake and Yellow Crane Tower; Shennongjia and Wudang Mountain highlight the mysterious and magnificent features; There are many celebrities in southeastern Hubei, and there are many famous mountains and temples. Qingjiang river basin in western Hubei is the birthplace and gathering place of Tujia nationality, and the rich local costumes and diets constitute a colorful folk picture. In terms of red tourism resources, Hubei has Dabie Mountain, one of the three holy places of the China Revolution, Hongan, the first county of the national generals, the former site of Wuchang Uprising of the Revolution of 1911, and the largest hydropower project in the world today-the Three Gorges Dam and the first bridge of the Yangtze River-Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. Hubei is attracting tourists from all over the world with its legendary and magnificent charm.
