Chinese herbal medicine primordium: roots and leaves of Inula of Solanaceae.

Morphology of animals, minerals and plants. Subshrubs The stems are erect, green and round, and the shoots are slightly angular with white lenticels. Simple leaves alternate, sometimes two leaves are opposite to each other on one side of the branch, oval, long 15 ~ 18 cm, wide 2.5 ~ 8 cm, short blade tip, entire, and gradually narrowed at the base to form a petiole, which is 2 ~ 3 cm long. Cymes spiral, opposite to leaves or axillary; The flowers are white and the stalks are about 1 cm long. Calyx cup-shaped, ca. 2.5 mm, 5-lobed; Corolla tube short, lobes 5, long ovate-lanceolate; Stamens 5, anthers yellow; Ovary ovate. Berries are spherical, 3 ~ 4 mm in diameter, and yellow when they are ripe. Flowers in summer and fruits in winter. Born at an altitude of 500 ~ 2200 m along river beaches, villages and roadsides. Distributed in Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan.

Harvest and processing: it can be collected, cleaned and used fresh all year round, or chopped and dried for use.

Chemical composition: leaves contain solasodine [1], lycopene, 65438+ 15α- hydroxylycopene and yamogen [2]. The root contains 26,28-solanine-5,22 (28) diene -3, 16- diol [2] and alkaloid [3].
