Rule the country with righteousness, fight with strangeness, and take the world with nothing. How should I know? This is the basis: the more taboos in the world, the more people fall into poverty; The more sharp weapons the people have, the more chaotic the country will be; The more people's skills, the more evil spirits and strange things will be; The stricter the law, the more thieves there are.

Therefore, a Taoist sage said, I do nothing, and the people educate themselves; I am quiet and the people are naturally rich; I want nothing, and the people are naturally simple.
