The source of the main stream of Liaohe River is also the intersection of Dongliao River and Xiliao River, which is located in Fudian, Changfa Township, Changtu County. The management highway from Fudian to Liaohekou in Panjin is 538km long and1050m wide. The length of Liaohe River in our county is 187.3km, and the length of dikes and management roads is 146km. The mainstream of Liaohe River flows southward from Fudian, Changfa Township, our county, and enters Kaiyuan City at Bianjia Village, Tongjiangkou Township. The river is 82.3 kilometers long and the management road is 72 kilometers long. The river length of Dongliao reach in our county is 105km, and the dike length is 74km. It starts from Ermutun, Dali Village, Sanjiangkou Town in the north, flows through three towns in the south, intersects with the West Liaohe River and flows into the main stream of the Liaohe River.
According to statistics, more than 70 species of wild plants have been restored in Liaohe Nature Reserve, among which Gramineae, Cyperaceae and Compositae account for 50%. There are more than 80 kinds of wild animals, including 58 kinds of birds, including storks, egrets, gray geese and other national first-class protected wild birds. Every spring in the wetland at the source of Liaohe River, the ice and snow melt, and gulls race on the river, full of vitality; In summer, the sun is shining, the water in Liaohe River is rippling, fish and shrimp are swimming, and wormwood is fragrant; In autumn, the golden wind is cool, the wetland plants are lush and the reeds are flying, conveying the hope of a bumper harvest; In winter, the wind blows and the snow blows, the Liaohe River is frozen, the silvery white world, and a unique scenery in the north.
Geothermal exploration by the geological department found abundant geothermal water at the source of Liaohe River. The exploration well is 2207 meters deep, the water temperature is 67 degrees Celsius, and it is rich in water, which is suitable for hot spring projects.

The planning of the source scenic spot of Liaohe River has formed a planning structure of "one floating, four districts and twelve scenic spots". A floating belt refers to the Liaohe River floating belt that runs through the north and south, highlighting the theme of wetland ecology; Four divisions refer to four tourist group divisions that express regional characteristics and ecological themes, namely, Fude Hot Spring Town, Fude Wetland Landscape Area, Liaohe Ancient Capital Natural Area and Pailou Customs Area; Twelve scenic spots refer to twelve tourist scenic pearls dotted on Liaohe ecological wetland. This area is located in the thinking framework of ecological sightseeing, tracing ancient history and interactive experience, and belongs to the combination of static and dynamic. On the basis of not destroying the existing ecology, the setting of tourist facilities should actively cooperate with the adaptive forms and contents according to the characteristics of regional themes, and strive to create a tourist paradise that highlights the ecological culture of Liaohe River, is close to nature and has ecological interaction. It is divided into two parts, the inner area of the enclosure is a quiet area, and the projects include Fude Inn, Qianlixing Wharf, Liaohe Sightseeing, Liaohe Museum, Lotus Lake Scenery, Binhu Pavilion and Ecological Square. Enclosure is a mobile area, and the projects include sunshade sports car park, happy farm, ecological catering, water park and so on.
3. Liaohe Ancient Capital Natural Scenic Area. This area is within the enclosure area, and the east side is the area from Weizifang to Taipingshan Dam. This area is located in the thinking framework of natural ecological scenery sightseeing and context tracing, and belongs to a quiet area. The starting point of this area is to maintain the original ecology, strengthen the ecological replanting area, and the tourism construction is only to build a tour and transfer, with the aim of letting tourists appreciate the essence of the wetland ecology at the source of Liaohe River. The main projects include Gudu Wharf, Gudu Museum, outdoor camping and wetland scenery.
4. The local amorous feelings area of the archway. This area is located outside the fenced area and adjacent to Pailou Village on the east side. This area is located on the basic platform of national sports, rural recreation and educated youth culture, and belongs to the area of combining static and dynamic. On the basis of not destroying the existing ecology, the setting of tourist facilities actively cooperates with the adaptive form content according to the regional content theme, and strives to create an ideal place for wetland tour, national sports, rural recreation and modern competition. The main projects include educated youth cultural experience zone, characteristic picking zone, outdoor development experience zone, Ruyi Lake natural scenic spot and so on.
