Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area, located at the junction of Dafang and Qianxi counties in Guizhou Province, is 0/55km away from Guiyang/KLOC. This is by far the largest native rhododendron forest in China. There are 4 genera and 23 species of rhubarb, goose yellow, lily, violet and purple jade growing on the long and narrow hills with a width of about 50 km 1.2-5.3 km, hence the name Rhododendron thyme. The whole scenic spot is divided into Dafang and Qianxi. There are seven scenic spots, including Dipu, Bai Na, Dashui, Xiemu, Jin Po, Renhe and Honglin, with more than 40 scenic spots and more than 20 best scenic spots.
Rhododendron thyme is really a magnificent natural garden. China has the highest species of rhododendron in the world, with 850 species in the world and 470 species in China. This is one of the earliest scenic spots in Jin Po Scenic Area, and it is also the essence of Baili Rhododendron. There are many kinds of azaleas and colorful flowers here, which have become a good place for Yi and Miao youths to meet. On festivals, girls and boys of Yi and Miao ethnic groups dress up and dance in various poses in the azaleas.
Go straight along the rocky path, and now we are at the top of Jin Po Scenic Area. Standing here overlooking the surroundings, we can see azaleas of various colors steaming between the green hills and trees, in clusters, blooming so warmly and beautifully. Flowers stand upright in the wind, delicate and charming, petals embrace each other, attracting countless bees and butterflies to fly. The whole hill is lush and full of flowers, and everyone can feast their eyes.
In Guizhou, there is a well-known Yi heroine named "Mrs. Shexiang", and now the Jiuyi Town in Longchang in front of us is built to commemorate this heroine. According to legend, Mrs. Shexiang is in charge of the Yi tribe. In order to further strengthen the contact with the imperial court and develop the economy of Shuixi, she built a post road from Guiyang in the east to Bijie in the west. It is 560 miles long and has nine post offices. The first stop is Longchang, so it is called "Longchang Jiuyi".
Mayingling, this is the densest place for rhododendrons in Mayingling. Due to the special terrain of Bijie, Shuixi people used to rely on horses as a means of transportation to strengthen their contact with the outside world. The caravan went through the forest, where it shook off the red tassels on its heads, and the shaken ponytails became these gorgeous azaleas. You might as well take a closer look, these azaleas are really like the red tassels on the horse's head!
After visiting Jin Po Scenic Area, we will soon enjoy Yuntai Mountain, the first stop of Dipu Scenic Area. Strolling on the bluestone road in Yuntai Ridge, the trees are sparse, the fragrance is fragrant, and the heart cries, which makes people forget the prosperity of the city and retreat to the countryside. If it rains, the azaleas here will be completely shrouded in smoke, looming, adding to the hazy beauty of Yuntai Mountain.
The highest point of the whole Dipper flower area is the number of flower peaks. Here, you can enjoy the pleasure of "seeing all the flowers". Looking down from here, the whole flower area is continuous, one after another. Snow-white cuckoo, like a mandarin duck playing in the water; Rhododendron powder, such as romantic feelings; The bright red azaleas are bright and gorgeous, just like our fiery mood at the moment.
Now, we are drunk, which is one of the most vivid scenic spots in Dipu Scenic Area. There is a touching legend about the origin of the name drunk nine cows. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, Mrs. She Xiang, the toast of Shuixi, paid tribute to Zhu Yuanzhang to maintain the water in Xining, but when passing by, nine cows were attracted by colorful azaleas and drunk in the mountains, and refused to move. After Shexiang told Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Yuanzhang laughed and named this place "Drunk Nine Cows".
Multicolored road is also called wucha road, through which you can enter the flower area. In the season when azaleas are in full bloom, five roads are covered with all kinds of azaleas, including bright red, pink, purple, yellowish, white and pale, all of which are particularly beautiful.
