How to exercise in winter?
Liver in spring, heart in summer, spleen in summer, lung in autumn and kidney in winter.

Four seasons health, traditional Chinese medicine health

Chinese medicine believes that there are five seasons in a year, and there is a long summer between summer and autumn. The five internal organs are in charge of the five seasons. When the season comes, the dirty qi is the most abundant, but it is also the most fragile.

Spring (from beginning of spring to long summer) > > nourishing liver.

The most vulnerable part in spring is the liver. Spring is the main season of the liver, with the strongest liver qi, but it is also the time when liver disease is most likely to occur this season. The cold winter is over, and the climate should get warmer. However, if the warmth comes early, or the cold doesn't go away, it still dominates political affairs, or it is too warm and becomes as hot as summer, that is, the climate has not acted on time. Once the liver is overused or the liver qi is insufficient, it loses its vitality for a long time, and the liver function activity can't keep up with such an active climate, it will be fragile and linger in the hospital bed.

It is best to do more things to nourish and protect the liver in spring, and the word "shh" is a very important way to improve eyesight and protect the liver. Stand with your feet apart naturally, inhale through your abdomen, inhale through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. When inhaling, the lips are lightly closed, the tongue is on the palate, and when exhaling, the abdomen is closed and the anus is lifted, and a hissing sound is made at the same time. This method is suitable for doing it once in the morning and once every day. When practicing, the tone should be soft and even, so that the breath will be exhausted. Close your eyes and concentrate on pranayama after heckling.

Summer (from long summer to light summer) > > Nourish the heart

The most vulnerable part in summer is the heart. The cool wind moves the water, and the lotus leaves roll the dragonfly shadow. It sounds summer, but the little "heart" is flustered. Summer heat makes people sweat and make people sad and bloody. Summer training should focus on quietness, and exercise should be carried out in a way that is effortless and does not hurt body fluids.

It's hot every day in summer, so it's easy to be irritable and lose appetite. You can eat more foods that nourish your heart and soothe your nerves. For example, lotus seed core tastes bitter, but it is good at clearing away heart fire and strengthening spleen and stomach. Just soak in water instead of tea or add japonica rice to cook porridge. Mume also has the function of relieving fever and vexation. In summer, office snacks can be replaced by rock sugar and plums.

Long summer (from little summer to beginning of autumn) >> Nourish spleen.

The most vulnerable part in long summer is the spleen. The long summer is the time when the summer heat passes and it begins to rain. If we are born deficient and wronged in the mother, we can make up for the loss through the operation of the spleen, so the spleen is also called "the foundation of the day after tomorrow".

Spleen likes dryness and hates dampness. The biggest feature of long summer is that the humidity is too heavy, and the spleen is most afraid of dampness and likes dryness. To tonify the spleen, you can eat more beans. Beans suitable for summer are mung beans, white lentils, Dutch beans, red beans and peas. These beans, whether boiled, fried or stewed, can change into various patterns, and there is one of the greatest pleasures-dehumidification and spleen strengthening. Atractylodes macrocephala and yam also have the same effect.

Autumn (from early autumn to early winter) >> Nourishing the lungs

The most vulnerable part in autumn is the lungs. Sister Lin feels sad every autumn and her lung disease gets worse. After autumn, the climate is gradually dry, and the evaporation of water in human skin mucosa is accelerated, so there are phenomena such as dry skin, dry nose, dry lips and sore throat, which are the main qi of autumn dryness. "Moistening dryness" is a wonderful way to replenish the lungs in autumn. To implement it, first of all, nourishing yin and moistening lung should be the basic principle in diet.

In dry autumn, the water evaporated through the skin every day is more than 600 ml, so more water is added in autumn. Drinking at least 1500 ml every day at ordinary times, and drinking 2000 ml in autumn can ensure the lubrication of lungs and respiratory tract. It is best to drink 200ml before going to bed every morning and evening, and 800ml between meals during the day, so that the lungs can safely spend the golden autumn.

Winter (from beginning of winter to beginning of spring) >> Nourishing kidney.

The most vulnerable part in winter is the kidney. When the earth is covered with ice and snow and everything withers, kidney qi is most easily consumed. What we can do is to cherish it more in the disease-prone season, such as replenishing yang in winter and preserving kidney qi. This can be achieved by a simple trick of "going to bed early and getting up late". In winter, the sunshine time is short. Going to bed early can keep warm, thus nourishing the body's yang. Going to bed late refers to getting up after the yang rises in nature, so that the body can replenish yang and avoid yin. In this way, the yang collected by various organs is collected in the kidney, which is full enough to resist diseases.

Eat less salty and suffer more. Winter is the time when the kidney meridian is vigorous, while the kidney is salty and the heart is bitter. Eating too much salty taste will make the already high kidney water stronger, thus weakening the strength of the heart. Therefore, we should eat more bitter food to help the heart function and resist too much kidney water. At the same time, sticky and cold foods should be avoided in winter diet, because these foods are yin and easy to damage the yang of the spleen and stomach. For normal people, winter should follow the principle of "nourishing yin in autumn and winter", that is, eating properly nourishing yin and high-calorie meals, such as lotus root, fungus and flax, which are all beneficial foods.
