How to raise cold-water fish in lazy fish tank
1. Increase nitrifying bacteria regularly.

Nitrifying bacteria are added to the tank regularly, and the nitrifying bacteria devour and decompose organic matter and nitrate. The water in the fish tank is cool and transparent, without gray feeling, and the nitrate content is reduced, so the water quality is more suitable for fish and shrimp to survive. However, nitrifying bacteria depends on the filter material and bottom sand in the filter cartridge, and it is best to use grass mud or ceramsite, which has enough gap.

2. Use the filter cartridge and clean it regularly.

Clean the external filter cartridge regularly (do not use chemicals such as washing powder), and it is best to use the multi-slit filter material sold on Taobao as the filter material. Bottom sand and low mud flow into the filter cartridge with fish and shrimp biological waste, which blocks the filter cartridge for a long time, affects the efficiency of the filter cartridge, and a large number of nitrifying bacteria die, resulting in an increase in nitrate content in the cylinder and the death of fish and shrimp.

Third, raise aquatic plants in fish tanks.

Aquatic plants will absorb carbon dioxide to produce oxygen during their growth, and the decay of old leaves of aquatic plants will turn water into what we commonly call yellow water (PH7-8), so the water quality will be more suitable for the growth of fish, so no matter what kind of fish you raise, it is best to throw a few aquatic plants in the fish tank. This is not only convenient, but also beautiful. When the number of aquatic plants reaches a certain level, aerobic equipment is not needed. So it would be great to have a beautiful aquarium.
