Chaohu lake 1
Commonly known as Jiao Hu. It is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China, located in the middle of Anhui Province, with a length of 55 kilometers from east to west, a width of 2 1 km from north to south, a coastline circumference of 176 km, an average water depth of 2.89 meters, an area of 780 square kilometers and a volume of 2.07 billion cubic meters.
The scope of water intake includes Hefei, Chaohu, Feidong, Feixi, Lujiang, Shucheng and Wuwei. There are 35 rivers along the lake. The main famous aquatic products in Chaohu Lake are whitebait, white shrimp and lake crab, which are known as the "Three Freshness of Chaohu Lake".
2. Gaotang Lake
Lakes on the south bank of Huaihe River in the east of Huainan City, Anhui Province. The lake basin is a north-south strip with a length of 20 kilometers, a width of 2.5 kilometers and a shore length of 85 kilometers. The bottom of the lake is flat and the sediments are mostly silt. The normal water level is 50 square kilometers and the storage capacity is 80 million cubic meters.
3. Wabu Lake
Located in the southeast of Shouxian County, it is 60 kilometers long, with the widest water surface of 6000 meters and the narrowest part of only 300 meters. When the water level is kept at18.0m, the corresponding water surface of the lake area is 156 km2, and the water storage capacity is 220 million cubic meters. It is the largest natural lake in the middle reaches of Huaihe River and one of the five largest freshwater lakes in Anhui Province. Wabu Lake is an important drinking water source with abundant natural resources and superior ecological environment. Rich in fish, crabs and shrimps, especially whitebait.
4. Baidang Lake
Also known as Minchi, it is located in Zongyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province. Generally, the water surface area is 57.8 square kilometers, and the main rivers flowing in are Luochang River and Shi Yang River, which cross the Yangtze River from the south through Baidang Gate. It is the mother lake of Zongyang people and the largest freshwater lake in Zongyang. Fish is rich in aquatic resources and is an important aquatic fishery base in Zongyang. Baidanghu hairy crab is a famous product in southern Anhui.
5. Nvshan Lake
With a total inflow area of 42 15 square kilometers, it is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Anhui, located between Anhui and Jiangsu, with a narrow east-west distribution with an area of 100 square kilometers. Rich in aquatic products, famous for whitebait, swordfish, shrimp, crab, gorgon euryales and carp. Mingguang mung beans produced in hilly areas along the lake are well-known and sell well at home and abroad.
