1. The building of the sheepfold should face south: each sheepfold should be 1.5-20 square meters, the shed should be nailed with battens, and the bottom of the fold should be raised with a height of 30-40 cm. Such a sheephouse is conducive to cold, warmth, moisture, ventilation and feeding management.
Second, gradually improve hybridization: the basic ewes improved by hybridization should choose local ewes with larger size and more than three births, and the breeding rams can use fine breeds such as Boer goats.
Third, avoid inbreeding: each sheep farm or sheep breeding area must have more than three lineages to avoid inbreeding decline.
Four. The ewe should be marked: the ewe raised in the breeding farm should wear the ear number, which is conducive to breeding, breeding and filing registration.
Fifth, do a good job in infrastructure construction: every 3-4 sheep need to build an ammoniation pool of 1 m3. Seize the favorable opportunity of autumn harvest, silage, ammoniate or slightly store straw to ensure that sheep have enough forage for winter.
Six, the implementation of green feed and straw collocation: try to use green feed in spring, summer and autumn, where conditions permit, plant 1- 1.5 mu of high-yield pasture for every sheep, so as to reduce the cost of raising sheep.
Seven, the implementation of coarse and concentrate collocation: at the same time of coarse feed (green feed, straw feed), according to the physical condition and nutritional needs of sheep, feed a certain amount of concentrate, each sheep supplies 0.2 kg of concentrate every day, and the crude protein in concentrate accounts for 18%. The ewes in the late pregnancy and lactation should also increase their nutrition appropriately to meet the needs of pregnancy and lactation. Lambs began to be supplemented with concentrate and high-quality forage at the age of 15 days to ensure the nutritional needs and smooth weaning of lambs.
Eight, timely grouping: according to the size of the day, the sheep are divided into lambs, young sheep and breeding sheep. The number of sheep raised in each shed should not be too much, and it is advisable to raise 15-20 sheep. In order to avoid grabbing food and fighting, pregnant ewes, lactating ewes and breeding rams should be tied up or raised separately to avoid fighting and collision, resulting in abortion and trauma. Nine, regular deworming: sheep can be used to drive away parasites inside and outside the body. In addition, when the herd changes from grazing to house feeding, we should pay attention to the ventilation of the sheephouse and keep it dry, otherwise it will easily cause eye diseases in sheep. For sheep with eye diseases, they can be treated by subcutaneous injection of their own blood and eyes, and generally they can be cured in 5-7 days.
Whether the sheepfold building is reasonable or not has a great relationship with the growth and development of sheep. For a long time, all the sheep raised in our county are free-range, with grass in the fence, and some sheep and cattle are in the same fence, which is wet and lacks sunshine. Goats often get sick, fall ill in spring and summer and die in autumn and winter, which causes great losses to sheep farmers. The main reason is that the enclosure construction is unscientific, irregular and poorly managed. In order to ensure the healthy growth and reproduction of goats and promote the development of sheep industry, the author formulated the requirements for the construction of goat pens in combination with the climatic conditions and living habits of goats in this county.
