The new advertising law (hereinafter referred to as the new law) was revised and passed at the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th NPC on April 24th, 20 15, and came into force on September 30th, 20 15. The old advertising law (hereinafter referred to as the old law) came into effect on 1 February 19951day.

There are 74 new laws, 25 more than the 49 old laws.

First of all, the most important thing is that I want to tell you that the new law does not strictly restrict extreme clauses at all, or even relax them. The fact is that you have been cheated by these people.

The third paragraph of Article 10 of the new law stipulates that advertisements shall not have the following circumstances: (3) using terms such as "national level", "highest level" and "best";

In other words, the new law and the old law simply stipulate that the highest and best national terms cannot be used, but this provision is also reflected in the old law. It's just that we have been used to playing all kinds of escape tricks for so many years. What will happen in the future? It really depends on the judicial interpretation in law enforcement.

Compared with the old law, the new law actually adds encouraging language to the advertising industry, although it is vague:

Article 3 The State encourages and supports the development of the advertising industry, and the relevant departments in the State Council shall formulate and implement policies and measures conducive to the healthy development of the advertising industry.

Article 10 of the new law and Article 7 of the old law stipulate the standards of advertising content. In addition to the word "best" mentioned just now, another item has been added: "The dignity and interests of the state shall not be harmed, and state secrets shall not be revealed".
