The icing on the cake-

Ancient brocade technology

"icing on the cake" is often used to praise things that are better and more beautiful.

Brocade is a fabric made of colored warp and weft into various patterns. Its patterns are exquisite and simple, and its colors are magnificent and colorful. Brocade is already very beautiful. If you weave flowers on it, it is called "icing on the cake". According to documents, brocade was already produced in Shang Dynasty in China. With the continuous development of technology, brocade technology reached a quite high level in the Tang Dynasty. The faint mace jacquard brocade in the Tang Dynasty gives people a sense of relief, which is a veritable "icing on the cake" weave.

Get rid of the old and get the new-the ancient way of health preservation

"Getting rid of the old and absorbing the new" refers to people's breathing. People spit out polluted air through their mouths and noses and inhale fresh oxygen. It is also often used to describe an organization or institution that sublates old and bad components and absorbs new and good components.

"Zhuangzi Deliberately" comes from "Tugu Naxin": "Tugu Naxin, the bear stretches through the bird, just for longevity." "Getting rid of the old and absorbing the new" means promoting blood circulation and strengthening metabolism through deep breathing. Through these actions and exercises, people can live a long and healthy life.

Everything has changed-

Understanding of land and ocean changes

"Things are different" means that the sea has turned into farmland and farmland has turned into the sea, which is used to describe the great changes in the world. "Vicissitudes" also often writes "Vicissitudes". This sentence comes from Jin's Biography of Immortals, which tells the story of the geological changes seen by Wang He and Ma Gu, the mythical figures.

Although it is a myth, it is not without foundation. The story says that Wang is from the East China Sea, which is equivalent to Lianyungang in Jiangsu today, and is located along the Yellow Sea. This is a rising coastal area, and because the Yellow River enters the sea here many times, it is called the Yellow Water Ocean. Shallow shoals are widely distributed, and the coast is constantly advancing to the ocean, and the changes are very obvious.

By the Tang Dynasty, scholars had a general understanding of the changes in life. Shen Kuo also talked about his visit to Zhejiang Yandang Mountain in Mengqian Bitan, and analyzed the reasons. Shen Kuo said that the peaks of Yandang Mountain "are all wrapped in valleys, and nothing can be seen from the outside of the ridge". However, as soon as I entered the valley, I saw the towering peaks. He pointed out that the reason for this phenomenon was "excited by the flood in the valley at that time, the soil disappeared and the boulder stood upright." Shen Kuo clearly pointed out that the erosion of running water and the fact that rocks are not as easily eroded as soil are the reasons for the formation of Yandang Peak. It was not until the 3rd century that Europeans realized this problem.

A precious moment-what kind of unit is lettering?

In ancient times, besides sundials, time was also measured by clepsydra. This timing method divides a day and night into 100 minutes (one minute is equivalent to today's 14.4 minutes), so there is a saying of "carving" in ancient languages.

The "leakage" in the "missing carving" refers to the leaky pot; "Carving" means carving a sword. Cleavage is a more useful timer than sundial. It can be used for timing and punctuality, and is not limited by night and weather changes.

The earliest clepsydra was very simple. It was a pot with a hanging beam, with a small hole at the bottom and a scale on the handle of the arrow. You can judge the time by the proportion of water retreating.

After continuous improvement, the structure of the missing carving is more and more perfect. At present, the most complete carving of ancient missing time in China was in the Yuan Dynasty, and it is now in the Chinese History Museum. This set of leaky pots consists of four leaky pots, which are placed on a stepped pedestal and are 2.64 meters high. From top to bottom, the top leaky pot is called the day pot, the second floor is called the moon pot, the third floor is called the star pot, and the bottom floor is called the collection pot. There is a dripping faucet at the lower part of the Sun Moon Star Pot, and the water drips down the faucet in turn. There is a fixed copper ruler in the center of the copper cover of the pot, and the words "Time to Hai" are engraved from top to bottom, * * * twelve o'clock. There is also a wooden floating arrow, fixed on the column, close to the copper ruler, pointing to the time scale. "As a standard" as a standard; Metaphor takes certain remarks or things as its own standards.
