Yiling Yiling history
Yiling is one of the birthplaces of Bachu culture. In ancient times, it belonged to "Jingzhou", and the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were the key points of Cisse in Chu. In the twenty-first year of King Xiang of Qing Dynasty (278 BC), Qin generals set out to attack Chu and burned Yiling, and the name of Yiling began to appear in history.

In the twenty-sixth year of Qin Shihuang (22 1 BC), the county became the world and changed to Yiling county.

Yiling County was restored in the Western Han Dynasty.

In August of the second year of Zhangwu (222), Dongwu defeated the Shu-Han army in Yiling, which was called the Battle of Yiling in history. In the first year of Wu in the Three Kingdoms (AD 222), Yiling was changed to Xiling.

In the first year of Jin Taikang (AD 280), Xiling was changed to Yiling County, which belonged to Yidu County and governed Yiling.

According to the Qing Dynasty's Donghu County Records, under the Fengjie section of the Yangtze River, the banks of the river are mountainous, and the river is high and the waves are urgent. Out of Nanjinguan, the danger immediately decreased. "The water is here (gentle) and the mountain is here (low)", hence the name Yiling. There is no test. The name Yichang first appeared in the Jin Dynasty. Yiling District (formerly Yichang County) belonged to Jingzhou in ancient times. According to the general code, the Zhou Dynasty represented Chu State and real estate. During the Five Dynasties, the Western Zhou Dynasty, Jing and Gui were all Nanping countries.
