Yuetang District belongs to Xiangtan City, Hunan Province.

Located in Hedong District of Xiangtan City, it is the administrative center of Xiangtan City and the intersection of Xiangjiang River and Lianshui River in Hunan Province. It is adjacent to Shifeng District of Zhuzhou City in the east, Xiangtan County across the Xiangjiang River in the south, yuhu district across the Xiangjiang River in the west and Tianxin District of Changsha City in the north. The total area of this area is 206 square kilometers. By July 2022, the total population was about 490,000. It governs 9 streets, 1 town and 1 provincial city.
