The plant morphology is panicum miliaceum, with a height of 10 ~ 30 cm. The stem base is inclined or prostrate, the upper part is erect, multi-branched, quadrangular, purplish, and the whole plant is densely white pilose. The single leaf is opposite, petiolate, ovate or oblong, 4 ~ 1 1 cm long, disk length 1 ~ 3 cm, blunt or short apex, tapering downward at the base, wavy teeth at the edge, purple on the lower surface and leaf margin, and pubescent on both sides. There are several kinds of flowers in Hua Lun, with axillary or round spikes at the top of branches. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed, corolla lip-shaped, lavender or white. The lower lip of corolla is about twice as large as the upper lip, with four stamens and two strong stamens, and the ovary is superior. Nuts are grayish yellow with reticular wrinkles. It blooms in late spring and early summer.
