What is preventive treatment?
"Prevention of disease" is the representative of TCM academic thought. "Su Wen Si Qi Tiao Shen" says: "The sage's disease has been cured but not cured, and it is also called chaos if it is cured but not cured." The author believes that "treatment before illness" includes the following aspects: prevention before illness. The first article of Neijing says: "Ancient people, governors, lived in harmony with Yin and Yang, lived moderately, and did not act rashly, so they could live in harmony with the gods and live their lives. Today, people are different. They take wine as their pulp and get drunk at home. They want to exhaust their essence and dissipate their truth. They don't know how to hold their hearts full. From time to time, they are quick, happy against their lives, and live without festivals, so they fail at half a hundred. " Point out the reasons why the ancients lived long and the present people died young. He also said that "virtual evil steals the wind, sometimes avoiding it, feeling nothing, obeying the true qi, keeping the spirit, and being safe from illness." The guiding significance of the health care concept of conditioning body and mind before illness. Zhang Zhongjing, a medical sage, also pointed out in Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, Syndrome 1 of Zang-fu Meridian Diseases: "If people are careful, they will not let evil wind dry their meridians", and "If they do not violate the king's law, animals will be injured, so they should not exhaust their atria and ventricles. When they eat food, they will be cold, hot, bitter, sour, spicy and sweet. If they are not weak, they will get sick for no reason. " Sun Simiao, a doctor in the Tang Dynasty, pointed out that "the untreated diseases should be treated, and the untreated diseases should be treated", and "those who cultivate their nature should also treat the untreated diseases", which is also his original intention. This thought of preparing for a rainy day and preventing a slight delay has always had a far-reaching impact on future generations. Bian Que's Heart Book by Dou Cai in Song Dynasty said: "When people are not ill, they often moxibustion Guanyuan, Qihai, Mingmen and Zhongwan. Although they are not immortals, they can live for more than 100 years. " Dr. Amin Yang Jizhou wrote in Acupuncture: "Moxibustion is suitable for spring, summer and autumn, which often causes sores on both feet (that is, Zusanli on both sides)." Li Yong's Introduction to Medicine in the Ming Dynasty said: "It should be smoked once a year, with strong vitality and no disease." In modern times, Zhang Xichun made emergency resuscitation pills and health and epidemic prevention pills and distributed them to the poor to prevent cholera and epidemic diseases. This is in line with Xiao Jin Fang Dan's "Take ten pills without dryness" in Neijing, and the folk custom of avoiding filth and epidemic prevention in China during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Later generations of folk smoked Atractylodes lancea, Realgar and Folium Artemisiae Argyi for epidemic prevention. The customs of using blue flowers to incense, wearing medicine to wear Acorus gramineus and Eupatorium fortunei to prevent influenza and smoke vinegar come down in one continuous line during the Dragon Boat Festival. As the old saying goes, "Be prepared for danger in times of peace" is a good interpretation of prevention before illness. The early Neijing said: "Therefore, those who treat fur, skin, meridians, six fu organs and five internal organs well will be half dead." Special attention should be paid to early diagnosis and treatment. "synopsis of the golden chamber" says: "treat the meridians gently without dispersing in the viscera." Only the limbs feel heavy stagnation, that is, guiding, breathing, acupuncture and rubbing. Don't block the nine orifices. "It shows that if people accidentally feel exogenous pathogens, they must be treated as soon as possible to prevent pathogens from going deep into the body. In addition, Yangming Fu-organ syndrome and Sanshengqi decoction of Shaoyin syndrome in Treatise on Febrile Diseases are both first-aid yin methods, which fully embodies the idea that medical saints protect yin and body fluids everywhere when there are clues that pathogenic heat hurts yin at the beginning of typhoid fever. Zheng Shouquan was a famous doctor in the middle of Shu in the late Qing Dynasty, who was good at distinguishing yin and yang, especially paying attention to protection. He listed dozens of manifestations of yang deficiency syndrome. At the early stage of the disease, if he saw that there was indeed yang deficiency, he put in pungent and hot products such as Jiang Guifu, which was his original application based on his profound understanding of Sini decoction syndrome in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and was effective in clinic. There is a cloud in Difficult Classics: "The so-called incurable person sees the disease of the liver and knows that the liver should be transmitted to the spleen, so he first strengthens his temper and suffers from the evil of the liver, so he says that he has an incurable disease. "The first article in the first chapter of Synopsis of the Golden Chamber also points out:" If the husband treats the disease before it, he will see the disease of the liver, knowing that the liver transmits the spleen, and the spleen should be consolidated first. "It is emphasized that the disease of the liver often spreads to the spleen, and attention should be paid to the unaffected viscera during treatment to prevent the spread of the disease. Article 8 of Treatise on Febrile Diseases: "Those who want to restore the classics should point to Yangming, so that the classics can be healed without being passed on. "The articles about Sun account for about half of the book, and they mostly discuss the syndrome changes and treatment after abuse, which shows the serious harm of abuse to the spread of disease. Zhong Jing took pains to warn the doctor that a certain disease cannot be cured, a certain disease cannot be sweated, a certain treatment cannot be reversed, and a certain treatment cannot be reversed. All these show that people must be cautious in treatment to avoid changes. Taiyin article "Those who are self-interested and not thirsty belong to Taiyin, because they are dirty and cold, so when they are warm, they should live under the same roof for four generations. "Lizhong decoction is the main prescription for treating lunar disease, but Zhongjing did not say Lizhong decoction, but said" four generations ". Because the pathogen of Taiyin is bound to spread to at least Yin, which will make the disease develop, Lizhong Decoction can be used to treat Taiyin patients with slow illness. Secondly, for people in a hurry, Sini decoction can be used as a defense against shaoyin. In addition, Zhongjing also embodies the idea of protecting healthy qi and preventing the spread and change of diseases. For example, jujube soup is used to nourish the stomach, and the three things are scattered in vain. Eat Dachengqi soup and don't eat the rest. Even Guizhi decoction, which is used to treat the syndrome of solar apoplexy, emphasizes all kinds of things when taking medicine, indicating that people should be cautious when taking medicine, and don't hurt the positive and help the evil. Influenced by it, later doctors developed and innovated this idea of preventing change. For example, Ye, a famous doctor in Qing Dynasty, put forward in "On Warmth" that "or its kidney water is insufficient, although it is not burned out, it must be hesitated first, and it must be tested with the tongue. For example, if salty cold is added to sweet cold, he should stay safely in a place unaffected by evil to avoid falling into Yi 'er. If the body yang is insufficient, pay attention to protecting yang during treatment, and the method should be too wet and cool, but it should not be too cold when it reaches 67%, so as not to abandon it successfully. Why is this happening? When the damp heat dissipates, the yang will also decrease. "For people with yin deficiency, it is pointed out that" the body fluid should be taken care of, and the body fluid should be cooled to 67%. Those who are prone to lose body cold due to heat should not be deficient in cold due to clouds, but should be supplemented to prevent it from changing ",which also reflects the idea of" preventing diseases due to causes ". Qian Xianyun: "The doctor has a good eye, and his eyes are outside the bureau. The doctor has a good heart and his heart is before the levy." Emphasis is placed on seizing the opportunity to treat the disease before it breaks out. "Neijing" mentioned: "Big poison cures diseases, and ten is divided by six; Often poison cures diseases, nine times out of ten; Small poison cures all diseases, ten in and eight out; Non-toxic treatment, nine times out of ten ",and then" whole grains, fruits and vegetables, food nutrition is exhausted ","Fever is treated less, meat recovers, eat more and stay ". In other words, after taking medicine to get rid of the disease, we should regulate the healthy qi and pay attention to a reasonable diet to prevent the recurrence of the disease. Zhang Zhongjing also said that after the initial recovery from a serious illness, righteousness has not recovered. If not nursed back to health, it is easy to get sick again, and certain measures should be taken to prevent it. For example, in article 157 of Treatise on Febrile Diseases, after stopping water and relieving the syndrome of chest rib aggregation, the method of "self-made porridge" is adopted to nourish healthy qi, promote rehabilitation and avoid the resurgence of other diseases. In addition, it is suggested that people with stomach deficiency after cholera should pay attention to diet adjustment to prevent the recurrence of the disease. Zhongjing also specially set up an article "Distinguishing Yin and Yang, Treating Fatigue and Restoring Syndrome" after the Six Meridian Diseases. Wu Jutong in the Qing Dynasty said: "Conditioning after illness is as important as treating a disease." During the Republic of China, Shanghai Vulcan sent a famous doctor Zhu Weiju to treat fever. In the later stage of eliminating evil and tonifying deficiency, he often added a proper amount of aconite to the prescription, aiming at restoring the yang of the human body and not forgetting to warm the yang to correct and prevent recovery. In a word, the thought of disease prevention embodies the spirit of giving priority to medical prevention in the motherland, and it still has very important guiding significance, from which we can get many useful lessons.
