What can you eat to resolve phlegm?
Phlegm-resolving food—

1. water pear: cold in nature, moistening lung and resolving phlegm, relieving cough and reducing fire.

2. White radish: cold, slippery, expectorant, cough relieving, heat clearing and detoxification.

3. Lily: slightly cold, moistening the lungs and relieving cough.

4. Water chestnut: cold and slippery, clearing away heat, resolving phlegm, benefiting qi, appetizing and promoting digestion.

5. Tremella: flat, expectorant and cough.

6. Almonds: warm in nature, moistening lungs, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. Almond is slightly toxic and should not be taken for a long time.

7. Ginkgo biloba: warm in nature, warming the lungs and benefiting qi, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. Ginkgo biloba leaves are easy to be poisoned and should not be given to children.

8. Orange peel (dried tangerine peel): warm in nature, regulating qi, eliminating dampness, resolving phlegm, relieving cough and invigorating stomach.

Phlegm-resolving recipes-(all hot foods are used)

1. Stewed pear with rock sugar in northern Sichuan:

Select pears with thick yellow skin, wash them, hollow them out, fill them with rock sugar about 10-30g, put them in a bowl, boil them in water for 30-60min, and then eat the pulp together with the soup.

For those with excessive phlegm, 2 ~ 6g of Fritillaria Fritillariae Cirrhosae Powder can be added. First, use 100 to 200 c.c boiling water for about 5 to 10 minutes, then cook with the above-mentioned rock sugar pears and eat with soup.
