Sanyangchuan is located in the southern margin of the Loess Plateau in northwest China, which belongs to Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, and is17km away from Tianshui City. "Chaoyang, Zhengyang and Sunset" is a beautiful scenery formed by the sun shining on Sanyangchuan in three periods of a day. Up to now, Sanyangchuan still has three place names: Zaoyang, Zhengyang and Wanyang. Sanyangchuan is a valley basin formed by the impact erosion of Weihe River and Hulu River. Hebei belongs to the southern edge of the Loess Plateau, and Henan belongs to the mountainous area of the northern branch of the West Qinling Mountains. The elevation of Sanyangchuan area is about 1 100 meters, and the elevation of northern and southern mountainous areas is between 1300 meters and 1800 meters. Sanyangchuan has a warm climate with four distinct seasons and suitable rainfall, with an annual average temperature of 12, Leng Yue 1 month and the hottest month of July. In any direction of Sanyangchuan, you can see its strange mountain shape like a faucet. According to legend, Fuxi, one of the "Huang San" in China, had an epiphany on gossip here, hence the name Guatai Mountain. Today's Guatai Mountain is lush with trees, temples and pavilions, carved dragons and painted phoenixes, attracting thousands of tourists to the Range Rover to seek their roots and ancestors every year. In 2004, Guatai Mountain was approved as a national 2A-level tourist attraction. It is worthy of being a scene in Qin Zhou and a scene in Gansu. Zhang, president of the provincial Chinese Six Classics Academic Research Association, visited Guatai Mountain. After careful exploration and research, he praised Sanyangchuan as "the unparalleled place of Tai Chi" and Guatai as "the first mountain in China".

Sanyangchuan has two rivers, Weihe River and Hulu River. The Weihe River originates from Bird and Rat Mountain in Weiyuan County, central Gansu Province, flows eastward through the eastern part of Gansu Province, crosses the Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi Province, and joins the Yellow River at Tongguan, with a total length of 8 18 km, which is the largest tributary of the Yellow River. Weihe River flows into Sanyangchuan from Yujiaxia, the westernmost point of Weinan Town and Zhongtan Town, bypassing Guatai Mountain and flowing into the hinterland of Sanyangchuan. At the junction of Weinan, Zhongtan and Shi Fo, to the east of Zhangbai Village in Zhongtan Town, and to the north of Hulu River, Sanyangchuan flows out under the distributary mountain at the easternmost end of Sanyangchuan.

Hulu River originated in Xiji, Ningxia, with a total length of 296.3 kilometers, and is a first-class tributary of Weihe River. It flows into Sanyangchuan at the junction of Qin 'an County and Sanyangchuan in Tianshui City, and flows into Weihe River near Yukou Village in Shi Fo Township.

The unique geography and climate have created a pearl on the Loess Plateau-Sanyangchuan. No wonder Fan Changjiang, a famous reporter of Ta Kung Pao, described Tianshui in his book In the Northwest Corner of China in the 1930s: "Gansu people are as proud of Tianshui as Jiangsu and Zhejiang people are of Suzhou and Hangzhou. They think it is a place with beautiful scenery, rich products and outstanding people. " Tianshui is the south of Gansu and Sanyangchuan is the south of Tianshui.
