The whole novel is about how a cold, ascetic and rational man teaches his wife how to be a man, how to protect her, how to love her and how to love her. The story is full of ups and downs, and this book is not bad.
Yue Ming's writing style is first-rate. She has dabbled in house fights, palaces, giants, rebirth, online games and even interstellar future. You can't say how complete the world view is. Basically, no one is outspoken about her plays, including those articles on peasant fights that are easy to be bored. They are full of interest and the rhythm of the articles is well controlled.
