Why can't most Tai Chi "masters" get into the Sanda ring?
First, the nature and purpose of sports are different.

Wushu Sanda is a competitive sport, and its competition rules can make athletes give full play to their fighting potential and effectively protect their personal safety. In terms of techniques, any genre of play can be used, but it is not allowed to hurt the body, which fully embodies the spirit of courage, wisdom, strength, skill and hegemony of traditional Wushu, and is an antagonistic sport. Tai Ji Chuan, on the other hand, used boxing to carry, perform and seek Tao, which is one of the methods of spiritual practice. Based on China's traditional Yin-Yang and five lines of gossip, the theory of Taiji Chuan cultivates the innate, supplements the acquired and develops the inner elixir, so as to achieve the ultimate goal of prolonging life. In the process of practicing boxing, the ability of attack and defense can only be a small skill and a by-product. Therefore, Tai Ji Chuan and Wushu Sanda are different in nature and purpose.

Tai Ji Chuan's boxing theory is full of the natural dialectical method of "existence and non-existence" summarized by Laozi, that is, opposites can promote each other. All boxing consumes people's physical strength, that is, "gas consumption"; But if people want to "prolong life", they must supplement this physiological qi. Based on the philosophy of "whether there is mutual growth or not", the founder of Tai Ji Chuan chose the thirteen-potential long fist technique which can deplete people's physiological qi, and achieved the purpose of "prolonging life" through martial arts exercise. It can be seen that the inheritors of Tai Ji Chuan in the past dynasties did not take offense and defense as their purpose, that is, they did not take offense and defense as their soul. Although Tai Ji Chuan has the function of defeating the strong with the weak, it is not the characteristic of Tai Ji Chuan to defeat the weak with the strong. In fact, some other boxing methods, such as Xingyiquan and Bagua Palm, do not think that the purpose of boxing is to fight against the strong. There is no doubt that it is necessary for Mr. Sun Lutang to practice martial arts in his modern life, but Mr. Sun Lutang clearly stated in The Meaning of Boxing that both he and his Xingyiquan teacher believe that "boxing is the Tao". It can be seen that the creators and masters handed down from generation to generation in Tai Ji Chuan all aim at "rejuvenation", that is, "soul". It is said that Tai Ji Chuan takes skill as the end, which is from the perspective of lifelong exercise, and from the perspective of exercise content, the essence of Tai Ji Chuan is martial arts skills. It is as if a person's soul and body are inseparable. Saying that keeping in good health is Tai Ji Chuan's soul does not mean that martial arts is Tai Ji Chuan's body. Denied martial arts, Tai Ji Chuan's soul is denied.

Second, the training methods and training conditions are different.

The training method of Wushu Sanda is a very professional training with a lot of exercise. According to the rules of Sanda competition, the offensive and defensive actions are repeatedly trained for thousands of times, achieving automatic subconscious reaction of offensive and defensive actions. In order to improve the quality of consciousness and adapt to the environment and conditions of the competition, this kind of professional training can enable students with good congenital conditions to meet the requirements of the competition within two to three years, and can also achieve good results. As the saying goes, "if you learn, it will work."

On the other hand, in the Tai Ji Chuan movement, the main requirements are looseness, quietness, uniformity and stability. It will take at least a year or so to practice any word here well, and at the same time, it will take a lot of time to strengthen theoretical study and understand the classic ancient books such as the Book of Changes and the Tao Te Ching, so that theory can guide practice. Besides, the process of learning and practicing Tai Ji Chuan is complicated. Starting from standing piles, practice static and dynamic skills first, then perform skills, and then learn routines. This is the stage of pushing hands (including handing hands), and finally the stage of uncontrolled Sanshou (including breaking hands and being good at it). This set does answer the sentence "Tai Chi never goes out for ten years", but if you really go out, you won't fight, because.

Due to historical reasons, especially in the terrible special period after liberation, Master dared not talk about and teach martial arts too much, and even the practice was amateur, which could not be compared with the professional training intensity of the predecessors in the cold weapon era, resulting in the dating and loss of the martial arts function of Taiji. Due to the loss of training methods and dating, the direct consequence is the degradation of boxing and the loss of Tai Ji Chuan's skills, which makes most Tai Ji Chuan practitioners afraid to talk about fighting skills, even if they know fighting skills, they are mutated and lose the original flavor and style of Tai Ji Chuan. Or never studied Tai Ji Chuan. In addition, the vast majority of folk boxers are amateur training, forced by livelihood, training time is limited, not gentle enough, and natural skills cannot be improved. Even if there is improvement, its progress is very slow. The fundamental reason for the function degradation of Tai Ji Chuan Wushu is that the training method (achievement method) has been lost and outdated, and has not been passed down.

There is a saying in society that "practice slowly and use quickly": the slower you practice Tai Ji Chuan, the better. Practice slowly, and you will get there soon. This is actually impossible. Slowly practicing "loose" is beneficial to fast moving, but after all, it can't keep up with the requirements of actual combat, and it needs to be further practiced in a state of physical and mental relaxation. If you don't practice fast, you can't get up at all. It will be difficult to adapt to the rapid changes of the other side, and you will only lose in actual combat. Some predecessors said that Tai Ji Chuan's practice was "too slow for others to keep up, too fast for others to keep up". It means: when you practice slowly, because of the large amount of exercise, others can't adapt and can't keep up; When practicing quickly, it is not easy to standardize the movements, and it also makes others unable to adapt. If Tai Ji Chuan fans want to communicate in Sanshou, they have to practice the skills of "kicking, hitting, throwing and taking", attack the enemy vigorously with fists, palms, fingers, elbows, feet, knees, hips, heads and shoulders, practice more opportunities to release their overall strength, and practice the combination of posture, strength and skills in place to make the reaction natural and targeted. It is also necessary to use internal strength to strengthen the fighting ability of the whole body, because in martial arts confrontation, the body is like a spring steel net, which is not afraid of punching and kicking, but also can send out strong power. When the muscles of the body are tight, they are like stones, and when they are relaxed, they are soft and smooth, stretching freely and changing. This is the basis of martial arts. Otherwise, the human body, like glass, looks strong, but it actually breaks after a dozen hits. In this way, there is no physical basis for engaging in Wushu. Of course, there is psychological training to deal with it, so as to be calm, brave and full of spirit. Spirit is the soul of actual combat, and frame structure and technical moves are the foundation of Sanda self-defense. Skill, strength and wisdom are the only way to truly defend yourself.

In addition, the choice of trainers by the people is not as extensive as that of professional teams, and the training conditions are not comparable. Most people don't have professional training venues and equipment.

Third, the game of pushing hands and Sanda competition are essentially different.

In Sanda competition, it is very common for one player to push another player off the ring. This kind of "pushing" is to act according to circumstances and follow the trend, which is an understandable tactic. But if you only rely on pushing, you will have to wait for a beating. In Tai Ji Chuan, many people take boxing and pushing hands as the whole content. ?⑤⒓? Foundation? Hey? As the main offensive and defensive techniques of Tai Ji Chuan, Elbow and Relying on Eight Techniques are rarely practiced in Sanshou. In fact, they put the cart before the horse and entered a misunderstanding. The real physical use is Sanshou, and Tai Chi Pushing Hands is a very primary antagonistic training method. It can not only improve the sensitivity of brain reaction and skin touch when the two sides join hands, but also test the effects of Gong Zhuang and various forces. It is gentle, friendly, harmonious and has the nature of a game. Observe that some practitioners play exquisitely, but they need the cooperation of both sides, and both sides must not follow the meaning of their heads. Don't hit hard when you are hit. You should go out with your opponent's strength and play with reason. It is wise for the pushers not to take part in the competition. If you go to the competition, you will be confused, because pushing homework is a bridge between boxing and Sanshou! Compared with Wushu Sanda, Sanda's far kick and close fight and close fall can be flexible and arbitrary no matter how the distance between the two sides changes. As long as we foster strengths and avoid weaknesses, we will definitely win if we prescribe the right medicine. Therefore, most pushers can only push, not fight. It is normal that the actual charging will inevitably fail.

The real Tai Chi tuishou can't be tested by the current competition rules, because it is only an intermediate practice method and process, and the Tai Ji Chuan techniques used in the competition can't be positioned as Tai Chi tuishou. At present, there are two kinds of Tai Chi tuishou performances: one is folk distribution, which does not mean ultimate practicality, and can only be used for performances and fun exercises. The feeding and giving force of this pusher is different from the actual hitting force, so the distribution has a good visual effect. The other kind is called pushing hands, which is actually Sanshou, middle pushing hands, thugs and Sanshou mixed, even including hard pulling, strong pushing and raw dragging. The traditional Tai Chi tuishou is based on the principle of touching, receiving, following and sticking. ?⑤⒓? Basic umbrella? Elbow, lean, advance, retreat, protect, hope, and set the thirteen potentials. After the two sides contact, feel the direction, size, reality, rigidity, speed and length of the other side's force with their limbs. After reaching physical and mental understanding, they can react quickly, feel in time, and make a decision immediately, whether to let nature take its course and go with the flow, or to resolve the power point and quickly fight back and rebound.

Fourth, Tai Ji Chuan Sanshou is different from Wushu Sanda.

Now Wushu Sanda highlights the practicality of Shaolin boxing. Four principles are used to illustrate its play, namely: first, play short with long ones; Second, apply both hard and soft; Third, play fast and slow; Fourth, bullying the weak with the strong. Facts have proved that these four principles are completely correct. There are five principles in Tai Ji Chuan's pushing and Sanshou. One is to combine rigidity with softness; Second, static braking and preemptive strike; Third, be round and straight, and use your strength; Fourth, giving up affects people as well as people; Fifth, the small wins the big, and the weak wins the strong. For Tai Ji Chuan's four principles, these four principles can only be applied at will when excellent athletes with almost the same strength, or Tai Chi has reached the advanced stage of "order and respect" and "not a hair can be added, flies can't fall, people don't know me, I know others alone". If you are far from your opponent's strength and Taiji Kung Fu is not really superior, don't copy these four principles mechanically, otherwise it will be counterproductive and fail faster. The best way is to win by surprise, change the brakes, apply both hard and soft, and win by courage. It can be said that "when the two armies meet, the brave wins." If Tai Ji Chuan fans want to make good use of Sanshou, they might as well refer to their predecessors' actual combat experience, that is, combine the straightforward boxing methods of "throwing, hitting, throwing and taking" with the boxing methods of "sticking to people", "being soft" and "making people invisible". Tai Ji Chuan's style of play pays attention to "the combination of failure and success, including active attack and back attack, not just back attack", which is an intelligent attack with flexibility and leverage. The essence of "unsuccessful introduction" is the extension and improvement of "kicking and falling" technology. However, it is not a frontal attack, but a "curve strike."

Fifth, the differences of technology exchange platforms.

In modern China, most of the Tai Ji Chuan circles stay in their own circles, and rarely communicate and learn from other martial arts and other fighting techniques in the world. Nowadays, most learners in Tai Ji Chuan communicate in their own circles. Don't fight with people who practice other kungfu, or rarely. This is not as good as the previous generation of boxers, regardless of the master, playing Tai Ji Chuan's reputation is different. Now I want to save my reputation and face. Most boxers don't like to communicate with boxers at the same level to prove their kung fu.

With the economic development in recent years, driven by personal economic interests, Tai Ji Chuan's "famous teachers" and "famous artists" are mixed. Objectively speaking, only those who have both inheritance and fighting skills can be called the inheritors of authentic traditional Tai Ji Chuan. Can the "master" of pseudo-Tai Chi show the true kung fu of Tai Chi?

There are many kinds of masters of Taiji Chuan, some of whom are very powerful and pay attention to actual combat! Some people are good at writing. After practicing for several months, Tai Ji Chuan can write articles or publish books. Some people are good at teaching students, while others are good at teaching students. People who can lead people to get started are also masters.

From this point of view, most Tai Chi "masters" can't compete in Wushu Sanda.
