"On one side, there is a golden plate, and Yan Fei is standing there dancing. There is also a papaya thrown by An Lushan on the plate, which hurts too much. " The papaya mentioned here should not be real plant papaya, but papaya imitated with jade, which is very valuable. "There is a couch where Princess Shou Chang and Her Royal Highness Zhang Han lie together, and there are couplets made by Princess Tongchang." What do you think these things are? In the past, the interpretation of this description in Redology circle basically set such a tone, saying that it was an exaggerated description. This description mainly wanted to show that Qin Keqing lived a luxurious life and she was lewd. This explanation can't be said to be completely unreasonable, but it can't completely convince me, a fan of A Dream of Red Mansions.
You said that these descriptions show her luxurious life, which is of course reasonable, but it is totally implying that Qin Keqing's life is lewd, which makes no sense. Wu Zetian, or Zhao, or An Shi Rebellion, or Yang Taizhen, you said, they all have some lewdness, which appears as a symbol of lewdness. I agree with this, but there is nothing lewd in the stories of Shou princess royal and Princess Tongchang. This Shou Chang Princess should be Shouyang Princess. Of course it's luxurious, but it's not slutty. Please pay special attention. Wu Zetian is a female emperor, Yan Fei is a beloved princess, Yang Taizhen is also a beloved princess, and An Lushan is a person who usurped power later and used to be an emperor. But the author not only wrote the emperor, but also wrote two princesses. So what do these exaggerated and suggestive symbols imply? I think this is not just a metaphor for Qin Keqing's luxury of life, or Qin Keqing's lewdness.
