Sexual health: a must-read book for adults
I like reading. Reading is very complicated. Although my favorite is prose, I also read some novels, history, financial management, parenting, psychology and so on.

As I grew older, I began to pay attention to fitness. I also collected some medical books at home, such as "Wisdom of Not Getting Sick", "I want my internal organs to be young: the life span of internal organs is the wisdom to keep you from getting sick, only the doctor knows", "What can you do before the ambulance arrives" and so on. Recently, I also included a book "Sexual Health".

Speaking of sexual health, this is a question that many people are ashamed to talk about. Although they want to pay attention to it in their hearts, they pretend to be indifferent on the surface, fearing that others will look down on themselves.

As mentioned in the book Sexual Health:

This reminds me of biology class in middle school. One of the courses is about human body structure, and it is about the genitals of men and women. The teacher didn't tell the class in public, but let the students watch it by themselves.

It is precisely because the school does not teach sexual health knowledge, especially for students who have never studied it. I remember one year when I went to the hospital with a relative in my hometown, I specially chose a female doctor and said that I was uncomfortable below. As a result, the doctor told me that there was nothing wrong. I should pay attention to hygiene and wash my ass frequently.

Look, what a simple thing!

However, there are so many such things in rural areas that even basic personal hygiene cannot be guaranteed, let alone sexual health and education for the next generation.

Including myself, only when I went to school and lived on campus, I saw other girls washing their bottoms, and I realized, Oh, I should have washed them every day!

Now that I think about it, I suddenly feel like a water turtle. But it can't be helped. The original growth environment was like that, without guidance and contact with the outside world.

So now I will read some health medical books. First of all, I can learn more to prevent delay. Second, it is also helpful for the education and guidance of my children.

In addition, I choose this kind of books carefully, depending on whether the author is authoritative, whether the content is what I want to know, and also on the evaluation and listening to what others say.

Take the book Sexual Health as an example. The author is organized by experts represented by Kavan Wylie. They all have many years of clinical work experience, and speaking of experience, they are naturally quite rich.

The original intention is to know about sexual health knowledge. After all, the family is a daughter, and I want to give her more correct guidance.

After reading the introduction, it is also quite good. Chapter ***29 discusses the existing sexual health problems, systematically expounds the sexual psychology, physiological development, anatomical structure, physiological characteristics and other health knowledge, and emphatically introduces the skills of collecting and consulting sexual history information, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of different sexual health diseases.

At first glance, you may feel professional, but as a layman, you are not sure whether you can understand it. Later, after reading page by page, I found that I can read as long as I know the words. As mentioned in the introduction, it is illustrated and practical, and can be used as a reference for clinicians, nurses, patients and their families.

So, don't worry about not understanding, most people can understand.

This book is specially listed as a must-read for adults, mainly because I personally think that these sexual health knowledge should be understood by everyone, not called knowledge, but can be summarized as common sense. After all, it is related to everyone's own health and the happiness index of marriage.

I hope that the ignorance and poverty of the older generation will not be repeated on us. We should take good care of ourselves and use knowledge as a powerful weapon to guide the next generation.
