Sanxingdui site is located in the south bank of Yahe River in the northwest of Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, China, which is 5,000 to 3,000 years ago. It is the largest, longest-lasting and richest cultural site in southwest China so far.
Majiayao culture appeared in the late Neolithic period 5,300 years ago, and Sanxingdui ancestors entered Sichuan Basin about 5,000 years ago, so Sanxingdui civilization originated from the Yellow River Basin civilization, which was a secondary civilization formed after the Yellow River Basin civilization entered Sichuan Basin 5,000 years ago.
