Yangxintang has a long history. Since it was established in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, there has been no major renovation, and eight emperors lived in it. From the generation of Yongzheng, the emperor moved from Gan Qing Palace to hall of mental cultivation. At the beginning, I was mourning my father Kangxi, so I didn't move to the main palace and have been living in this temple.
With the passage of time, he never moved out, and he spent his whole life in Yangxintang. But it never occurred to him that his descendants would follow his example and live in hall of mental cultivation instead of moving to Gan Qing Palace. After a long time, this hall of mental cultivation has changed from a simple hut to a magnificent palace with many treasures.
Cultural relic value
Hall of mental cultivation, as the actual residence of the emperors in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, is of great value in terms of its architectural ontology and the scientific, artistic and cultural information it contains. There are probably three reasons:
First, the building itself contains rich information levels and a lot of information.
Second, the building and its internal artifacts reflected the highest level at that time, reflecting the "ceiling" of science and technology at that time.
Thirdly, hall of mental cultivation itself is an empire's activity space and "power space", and the habits and etiquette of emperors reflected by it are closely related to the trend of the whole empire.
