"Good is like water, water is good for all things without fighting, and water is evil for all." This sentence can be said to be the focus of the Tao Te Ching. Laozi often uses heaven as a metaphor for people's way. Heaven is mysterious and unfathomable, and it is difficult to understand and grasp its essence. In this chapter, I don't need heaven as an introduction. He said that the virtue of water is almost the same as that of Tao.
The best moral character and the most beautiful goodness are like water, which benefits everything without dispute and moistens things silently.
Water can nourish and moisten everything best, without seeking merit. The greatest love in the world is maternal love and fatherly love. Their love for their children is the most selfless. They only give and ask for nothing in return. So mom and dad also have good virtues.
Everyone has parents, everyone is parents, and everyone has the virtue of water. It's just that the virtues in our hearts are covered up for local and human reasons.
On the other hand, if you look at your own heart, you will lose the Tao one day. What is lost is the floating dust in my heart, and I will always wipe the dust in my heart. Your heart will naturally be bright and clear, and your virtue will naturally increase your wisdom. If you increase your wisdom, you will act wisely and everything will go smoothly.
Water is everyone's evil, and everyone wants to be high above it and fill their hearts with overlooking.
The nature of water is just the opposite. It flows to a lower place. On its way, it fills all the potholes and then moves on. People don't like being humble, and water is humble.
This truth is used in life, that is, to talk about human tolerance. Even if it makes sense, it is indisputable. Talk with time, just work hard silently, and don't be angry with life.
How can we win or lose? After all, people prove themselves by strength. Winning or losing at this moment is not enough to make a slow journey of life.
Therefore, "goodness is like water, everything in water conservancy is indisputable, and everyone is evil." This sentence can be used as the crowning touch of Laozi's theory of metaphor of human nature. Knowing this sentence is enough to cultivate one's morality and live in the world.
Some people put aside cleverness, have wisdom, do not argue with others, but have the way of being good as water.
Lao Tzu is merciful, explaining the operation law of the universe and exploring the essence of things.
On the one hand, it tells people how to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages and how to be a truly happy person.
Water has seven good qualities.
(1) Nice place to live, quiet and safe. If the terrain is steep, how can it be called good? Therefore, the nature of water, up and down, dangerous but not alive.
Water disperses into gas and goes directly into the clouds. Water condenses into liquid and flows down into lakes and oceans. People's spirit should have the trend of rising water vapor and the spirit of forging ahead. People should be soft, let go of themselves, go downstream and go with the flow.
(2) Deep heart means deep solution. The heart should be deep, like an abyss. In other words, the heart should not be shallow, but deep, generous, open-minded and tolerant.
(3) Do not argue with Renyi Water Conservancy. This is the beauty of water. People should take water as their teacher, and the character of doing something and fighting for it is yours. Because you work hard, the opportunity coincides with it, and it is yours. What's the point of fighting if it's not yours? As the saying goes, twisted melon is not sweet. If you can do it, there will be fewer troubles in life.
(4) Keep your word, but keep your promise. The tide is bound to rise. When you hear the sound of the tide, the tide will definitely come. That's what people should do. What they say is true, and what they do will have results.
(5) Good governance, where everything is governed by water, water rises and turns into rain and dew, and water falls to rivers and seas, which is endless and virtuous.
(6) Things are good, water is of infinite use, and water is the guarantee of life. If there is no water, the result can be imagined. People should learn the power of water, be firm and soft, and be mellow.
Flexible, infinitely wonderful because of its ability, so should people, not rigid, lively, coping with things and accepting good words.
(7) When doing good, water is a thing, and it is not an enemy of man or the sky. People should always move, come to heaven and earth, and pay attention to the truth of taking advantage of the trend when they get it.
You can't farm in winter, you can sow in spring, and you can go to junior high school after finishing primary school. This is the order of human law. Everything has rhythm and order. This is the so-called time. If you know what to do, you can get twice the result with half the effort.
If we understand the seven goodness of water, people can choose goodness and follow it, then there is nothing to argue about, because it comes from wisdom.
With wisdom, there will naturally be fewer troubles, and there will be joy in suffering, and bitterness will be between thoughts. Wisdom will not come suddenly, and people's growth cannot be achieved overnight. Life is really a practice.
Of all things in nature, Lao Tzu loves water best, and thinks that the virtue of water can approach the Tao. Because the void of "Tao" has no image and is in a trance, I can only describe the function of Tao and its form is Tao, not Tao.
To talk about Taoism with the world, we must have an intuitive reference to understand it more conveniently. Water is what we see and come into contact with in our daily life. Look at its characteristics, check its use and movement law, so as to understand it, and then deeply understand the "Tao", get close to it, stay away from its image and feel it.
