Form and spirit are a pair of categories in the history of China's philosophy, and also the basic category of human body concept in sports philosophy. Form and spirit refer to the human body and spirit; Unity is the unity of the two. In the history of philosophy, different schools have different interpretations of the relationship between form and spirit. Fan Zhen in the Northern and Southern Dynasties put forward in his book On the Death of God: "God is form, and form is god. It is the existence of form that makes God exist, and the gratitude of form makes God disappear. " Also known as: "the quality (entity) of form and the function (function) of form." It is affirmed that form is primary and spirit is secondary, and the generation, existence and change of form determine the generation, existence and change of spirit, thus adhering to the materialistic monism of unity of form and spirit. The philosophical basis of the theory of unity of form and spirit is the dialectical unity of matter and spirit.
