Jishui River, which flows through Xinying City and the northern part of Tainan County, used to flow southwest from the old dike (now the southern end of the old dike in Xinying City) through the northern part of Wujiancuo (now Wuxili in Xinying City), and then entered Shuangchun in Beimen Township. In the late Jiaqing period, the riverbed approached Wujiancuo, endangering the safety of villagers. So in the first year of Daoguang, in order to take refuge and eliminate disasters, Wujiancuo villagers paid homage to the river god on August 15 of the lunar calendar. Sure enough, in the third year of Daoguang, the Jishui River changed its course, from the old Lingnan to the southeast of the railway bridge (now in Xinying Railway) and flowed to Jiazhong Village in the southwest (16 Jiazhong Zhuangzi), but this also caused the Jishui River to change its course to the south again in Daoguang 10, and the mainstream approached Zhongzhuangzi Village. It is difficult for another tributary to flow from today's county road 173 to Zhongzhuangzai Village. The villagers sacrificed to the river god on August 16, and the original deviated river channel was moved again to protect the village from flooding. After that, Wujiancuo area will worship the river god in August of the lunar calendar 15 and Zhongzhuang Zaizhuang August 16, which has continued to this day.
Every August 15 and August 16, Zhuang people automatically bring sacrifices to worship in Zhuangbeigou, and reserve and burn silver paper for landlords and good brothers. This custom has no specific ceremony, only sacrifice and worship. The ceremony lasted until after 4 pm. After three rounds of drinking and burning paper money, the worship ceremony was successfully concluded.
