Sixteen paragraphs of health guidance method (collection category)
Sixteen Pieces of Brocade was compiled by Leng Qian in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, and included in his book Essentials of Aging. It was further refined according to the widely circulated fingering methods at that time, such as the twelve-section brocade sitting method, the twenty-four methods of Laozi, the eighteen methods of red pine, the eighteen methods and the twelve methods of Hu. Its function covers the health care of zang-fu organs, meridians and limbs, and was later included in the encyclopedia of ancient and modern medicine compiled by Xu Chunpu, a doctor in Ming Dynasty. Xu believes that this guidance method "can be used once a day, long-term lightness skill, eliminate all evils, gallop and get tired".

This sixteen-section tapestry is easy to understand, simple in action and clear in effect, so it is sorted out for the reference of students. Due to the limited finishing level, please correct me if there are any imperfections.

The original text and interpretation are as follows:

Where this guidance method is used, it is often at midnight when Ping Dan is about to get up. At this time, the qi is clear and the abdomen is empty, which is beneficial to people.

Description: This is the right time to practice these sixteen tapestries. I think it is better to practice at midnight (1 1: 00-65438+ 0: 00 a.m.) or Pingdan (3:00-5:00 a.m.), because people's stomachs are empty at this time, which is suitable for practice. We think that according to the routine of modern people, it is enough to practice after getting up in the morning.

1. Close your eyes first, calm down, sit up and knock your teeth 36 times, that is, turn around 24 times with your hands holding something. This way you can catch a cold on both sides.

Description: This paragraph refers to the preparatory action before practicing the 16-paragraph brocade, that is, sitting up first (ancient sitting posture, that is, kneeling with legs together and hips sitting on the calf, in order to sit up. According to the physiological characteristics of modern people, we recommend natural sitting posture); Grasping is a way to hold your thumb with four fingers. Taoism believes that it is helpful to soothe the nerves, collect sperm and replenish liver and kidney; Knocking on your teeth 36 times can strengthen your kidney and protect your teeth. (see figure 1)
