What is the difference between winter honey and summer honey? Which is better?
In some places, honey is divided into spring honey, summer honey, autumn honey and winter honey according to seasons, and honey in each season has different characteristics. In fact, honey in any season has the pharmacological exposition of honey in Shennong Materia Medica, such as relaxing bowels, removing fire, moistening intestines, benefiting qi and promoting fluid production, but honey in each season does have some different characteristics. Let's briefly introduce the differences between spring honey, summer honey, autumn honey and winter honey.

First of all, honey in spring

Milk vetch honey is a typical spring honey.

In terms of yield, spring honey ranks first among the four kinds of honey. A hundred flowers blossom in spring, which provides a prerequisite for the large-scale production of honey. Therefore, spring honey covers many kinds of honey, such as rape honey, Baihua honey, citrus honey honey, Chinese milk vetch honey, southern litchi honey and so on.

One of the characteristics of spring honey is colorful and beautiful: litchi honey is light yellow, while citrus honey honey is orange yellow, rape honey is white and jujube honey is amber. When the beekeepers put the honey together, it was really spectacular.

Spring honey has the effect of invigorating qi and generating blood, among which jujube honey is the best. Jujube nectar was produced around the end of April. Long-term drinking of jujube nectar by women has the effects of promoting blood circulation, benefiting qi and beauty beauty.

However, spring honey also has some bad characteristics, such as the concentration of mature honey can not reach a very high standard, far less than autumn honey. In addition, spring honey is relatively easy to produce gas. Among spring honey, rape nectar is the easiest to produce gas, and it will also produce gas at room temperature. If it is a plastic bottle of rape nectar, it is likely to explode in the environment of rapid temperature rise. At the same time, spring honey is easy to crystallize at low temperature.

Second, Xia Mi

The representative of summer honey: Vitex negundo.

The honey collected from June to late September is summer honey, and there are many kinds of summer honey. Many trees or shrubs choose to open in summer, such as Vitex negundo in the Yangtze River valley, which is a shrub with yellow flowers and white flowers in summer. In the early days, the nectar of Vitex negundo was amber, but in the late summer, the nectar of Vitex negundo was slightly black.

Like Vitex negundo, many summer honey has the effects of relieving pain, expelling toxin and eliminating dampness. Honey in summer has a good health care effect on patients with gastric diseases.

Because there are fewer kinds of flowers in summer honey than in spring, beekeepers will not beat honey as frequently as in spring, so the concentration of summer honey is still relatively high.

Honey is resistant to storage in summer and rarely crystallizes.

Third, autumn honey

Galla chinensis nectar belongs to the best autumn nectar.

Some flowers choose to bloom in autumn, for example, in the hilly areas of Hunan and Jiangxi, gallnut has been in full bloom. Galla chinensis is a shrub, which mainly grows in acidic soil and is also distributed sporadically in Nan 'ao, Shenzhen. Its gallnut nectar is a typical autumn nectar.

One of the characteristics of autumn honey is its high concentration, that is, after the mature autumn honey is harvested, the concentration is very high, which is mainly related to the dry weather in autumn, the few flowering plants in autumn and the low frequency of honey collection by beekeepers.

Because autumn is dry, many people get sick, especially respiratory diseases, such as bronchitis, cough and pharyngitis. And autumn honey has a good effect of moistening the lungs and relieving cough, nourishing yin and promoting fluid production. If you suffer from respiratory diseases in autumn, taking autumn honey for a period of time under the therapeutic effect of drugs can be well coordinated with drug treatment.

Autumn honey also has the function of nourishing yuan, and some medicinal honey also has the characteristics of medicinal materials, such as gallnut nectar mentioned above, which has the function of nourishing yuan and strengthening kidney, and is suitable for friends with nocturnal emission, insomnia and dreaminess, and kidney deficiency.

Fourth, honey in winter.

Ghost mortar in Lingnan area is open in winter. When the bees in the north choose to hibernate in winter, the bees in Guangdong can collect the nectar of Gejiu, so the winter honey is actually the nectar of Gejiu.

Winter honey is only produced in Guangdong, Hainan and other places, and the quantity is small. Lingnan people believe that winter honey has the effect of reducing fire. If it gets angry, it is more appropriate to drink some honey in winter.

Honey crystallizes easily in winter.
