Founded in 2006, it is located at Geheyan Tourist Wharf, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County, Yichang City, which is 10 km away from Changyang County. It is the largest national 5A scenic spot and national forest park in the Three Gorges area. Along with Shenlongjia, Wudang Mountain and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, it is called the four first-class tourist resources areas in Hubei, and it is listed as one of the top ten core tourist attractions in western Hubei, with an annual reception capacity of 1 10,000 person-times.

The main scenic spot of Qingjiang Gallery starts from Yin Yingxia of Geheyan Dam in the east and reaches Yanchi Hot Spring of Ya Bu Dam in Qingjiang in the west, covering all tourism resources along the route. There are tourist reception centers built according to the national 5A-level scenic spot standards in the scenic spot, including geological museum, shopping center, ticketing center, ecological parking lot in the scenic spot and other auxiliary facilities, which form three major functions of ticketing, dam watching and parking.
