Successful meditation is like a good sleep, which drives away the fatigue of the body and reawakens the energy of the body.
It has always been known that meditation is a good way to cultivate one's self-cultivation, and emptying one's mind is of great benefit to body and mind. But I am a mortal, and I have never been able to do it. There are too many distractions in my mind to calm down.
By chance, I saw the main points of Yuan Lefan's sit-in demonstration and bought a copy.
Halfway through the book, there are ways and tricks to sit still. Practice slowly.
The first successful sit-in was one afternoon during the summer vacation. Eva is not sleepy and doesn't want to take a nap, but I am tired. While Eva was watching cartoons, I moved a stool and sat on the balcony.
In the summer afternoon, the balcony is already cool, and more than half of the people outside are still basking in the sun. It's breezy, and the air on the balcony is better than that inside.
1. Choose a place that makes you comfortable, and take a sitting position, with your feet hanging down naturally and your hands on your knees.
2. The tip of the tongue touches the tooth cavity for 3 times and swallows saliva. The tip of the tongue should extend all the way to the tooth cavity, so that the meridians can circulate.
3. Move your eyes up and down, left and right, and then turn clockwise and counterclockwise to relax your eyes until your eyes move freely.
4. Slowly adjust your breathing and use abdominal breathing. Breathe through your nose and smell the flowers. Focus on breathing.
Inhale and exhale, and your body will relax more and more. When you concentrate on breathing, adjust to abdominal breathing, that is, breathing while sleeping, you will feel more and more calm and enjoy every breath you breathe.
Slowly, I feel my arms and calves relax with my breathing. Especially comfortable, I feel that all cells in my body have been nourished.
So I pay attention to my breathing, and the background sound is still cartoon, but it doesn't affect my meditation at all.
Looking at the time, I realized that twenty minutes had passed before I knew it. So long? I used to find it difficult to sit still for a minute.
Practice more and you will have a more wonderful experience gradually.
If you have a headache and can't concentrate, you can always start sitting still. Close your eyes, adjust your breathing, and focus on your breathing and your body's feelings. 5- 10 minutes, you can feel your body relaxed. When you open your eyes, you find that the light around you is very dark. This is a successful sit-in.
Meditation, in Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, is a compulsory course for health preservation and self-cultivation.
Meditation is not only for health, but also for the mind.
