ITP is the abbreviation of immune thrombocytopenia, also known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in the past, and it is a common hemorrhagic disease. The main clinical symptom of the disease is spontaneous bleeding of skin and mucosa, and in severe cases, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract and intracranial hemorrhage may occur. Generally, there was no lymphadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly in physical examination, but there were thrombocytopenia, positive bundle arm test, prolonged bleeding time and poor contraction of blood clot in laboratory examination. The disease can be secondary to viral infection and occasionally occurs after immunization. The first-line treatment drugs are glucocorticoid and immunoglobulin.
Itp can be treated with glucocorticoid, and in severe cases, gamma globulin, cyclosporine A, azathioprine, etc. The disease is mostly benign, only a few children will have intracranial hemorrhage and lead to death, adults will have delayed healing, and some people will die of intracranial hemorrhage.
