Reading? Can exercise really change people's temperament?
I am not a beautiful girl, which I have known since I was a child. I just graduated from college today and am a rookie in the workplace. Apart from polite compliments, not many people have said that I am beautiful, but in recent years, I have heard more and more people praise me for my temperament.

I remember that during the company's induction training, a teacher gave us a lesson and asked us to choose what we can improve through hard work the day after tomorrow. When asked about "temperament", I was the only one who raised my hand in favor of this. The trainer was surprised and asked me how I did it. I replied loudly: reading can improve my inner self, while insisting on exercise and fitness can make my external image more confident and straight.

The trainer nodded with a grain of salt: this is indeed possible, but it will take a long time. I silently counted the time I kept running. If I really achieved the counterattack from the ugly duckling to the white swan, it should really be attributed to my long-term adherence to reading and fitness.

I have great interest in reading since I was a child, but my primary school and junior high school are in a very closed country, and all kinds of resources and facilities are very scarce. It is difficult to get in touch with other books except textbooks at ordinary times, and I have no chance to read books at the age when I spend the most time studying. This is really my biggest regret so far.

This situation has been well solved in high school. In middle school, he was admitted to a key high school with excellent results. In the children's class where most students come from well-off families in cities, I ushered in the golden age of reading for the first time.

At that time, many students in our class subscribed to magazines at home, so I often borrowed them to read. At that time, Yilin, Youth Digest, seeing the world and philosophical thinking became the most beautiful adjustments in my busy study life, and I read almost every magazine two days before it was updated.

Not only that, I will often visit the school's old book stalls and buy old magazines and periodicals that I have never seen before. And I love reading novels, and I will never let go of the serial update of the most popular novels. At that time, the dormitory had already turned off the lights, and it was the happiest time to secretly read novels under the covers with a flashlight after the power failure in the dormitory.

The books I read in high school have a deep influence on me. Up to now, I can still clearly remember the names and story lines of many books, whether it is The Da Vinci Code with strong logical thinking or Rao Xueman and Tonghua with delicate emotions, all of which have had a great influence on my character building in that most sensitive period of youth development.

When I arrived at the university, I didn't get into the Chinese department I wanted to go to, but I still used a lot of spare time to study, because without the pressure of the college entrance examination, I got rid of the shackles of exam-oriented education and read a wider range of books.

If you like Japanese literature, you have read The Tale of Genji, which introduces the customs of heian period, and there are many books about Japanese history. If you like European and American literature, you will read The Count of Monte Cristo and Letters from Strange Women ... If you like Audrey Hepburn, you will read all the articles introducing her and many related biographies of celebrities. If you like Annie Baby, you will never let go of any of her essays and novels …

Besides books, I watched many movies, and the way of watching movies was different from others. If I like a director, I must read all his works in different periods and then sum up his film style.

Therefore, during my four years in college, I watched a lot of Xiaogang Feng's films, almost all the films directed by Shunji Iwai, Aoi sora series and all the classic masterpieces of Wong Kar-wai, the king of sunglasses.

Reading, like movies, has a subtle influence on people. The books and movies I have seen may forget their contents one day, but their influence on me has already been deeply integrated into my blood and become a part of me.

If I hadn't insisted on running two years ago, I might still be the girl who looked sick and weak.

I have been in poor health since I was a child. I was always a medicine jar before I went to college. My 165 height has never reached three figures. If I keep this state, I should never be associated with my second son.

Things changed in my junior year, and I remember running for no reason. Running in the northern ice city is not an easy task, because half a year is full of ice and snow, outdoor sports can't be carried out at all, and people who have no willpower can easily give up.

Perhaps my only advantage today is that I have strong willpower and can persist more than others. When I first started running, I started school in September, running 3-4 kilometers every day, and running around the campus after class every night.

At first, a roommate ran with me, but after a few days, she couldn't hold on, so I had to run alone, and the running mileage increased to 5 kilometers.

So I run five kilometers twice a week. After running for more than a month, I ran 10 km one day. At that time, every day after running, I would sweat all over. The school is a public bathhouse, so it is inconvenient to take a bath. Every night when I wash, I can only wipe my sweat.

Although it's very troublesome, I still keep running every time I think about the feeling of sweating after running.

During that time, I basically kept the frequency of running twice a week except when I couldn't run in the ice and snow. Later, in August of the following year, I participated in the first Harbin International Marathon, and completed the whole 2 1km in 2 hours and 40 minutes, which was a milestone in my running history.

After running the marathon, more and more people know that I am running. Later, every time I ran, some students volunteered to go to the playground with me and asked me to tell them the correct running posture. I am very happy every time and really become their coach.

Today, although I have left the campus and the place where I run has changed from a school playground to a park full of old people, I still have not changed my love for running. Running twice a week is the most relaxing and happiest time for me. When listening to my favorite music and breathing fresh air, all my troubles will be forgotten by me.

What benefits does running bring me? I haven't calculated it in detail. All I know is that I used to be often ill and looked listless. Now my health is much better Although I am still thin, I am a strong and muscular thin man now.

Besides physical changes, running also makes me stronger. Many difficult moments in my life that I think I can't survive are spent running. "Stay a little more sweat, shed a little less tears", I will think so every time, crossing one hurdle after another in life.

Because I know that the sense of security brought by running is won through my own efforts, and this heartfelt self-confidence is irreplaceable by anything.

Life is a marathon. Some people run very fast in the first half, but they will be discouraged at the end. Some people may walk slowly, but they can also reach the finish line and find their own scenery.

I know I belong to the latter, so I stick to these stupid ways that others look, and step by step, I can become my ideal person.

Reading, running, really can't see the effect in a short time, many people insist and give up, but life is so fair that you won't be ill-treated for every effort.

Always work towards your goal, bit by bit. Who says an ugly duckling can't be a white swan?
