Barcelona tourist attractions: Gerona, Gerona.

Gerona is located in the north of Barcelona100km, and is the second largest city in Catalonia. As early as the Middle Ages, it was a large and influential Jewish residential area. Now, this quiet town still preserves many Jewish relics.

Most of the scenic spots in Gerona are concentrated near the cathedral. There is a Romanesque bell tower at the top of the facade of the Baroque Cathedral. From the entrance to the left, there are exquisite Romanesque cloisters and the most noteworthy Museu Capitular in the church. Some religious artworks in the museum, such as12nd century tapestry, depict the genesis scene in the Old Testament with embroidery, which is very attractive. On the right side of the church is now the Gerona Art Museum. The exhibits here are mainly paintings, sculptures, furniture, glassware, gold and silver handicrafts and Gothic altar paintings from the Visigothic period to the19th century, all of which are displayed in the arched hall. Behind the church is a bath built by Moorish craftsmen in the13rd century. It is said that in the past, the baths here were not only divided into baths with different temperatures such as cold water, warm water and hot water, but also saunas. The most attractive place is the cold pool, whose skylight is surrounded by slender columns, and the design is very clever.

Today, this university town with a long history on the banks of the Onya River presents a modern side. Many young people have injected vitality into city life. The streets are full of art galleries and modernist buildings, and some fashionable shops, bars and restaurants have appeared.

There is a quiet town Banyoles in the north of Gerona18km, which was once the site of 1992 Olympic Games. Visitors can rent a boat to see the beautiful villages around the lake, which is really a good enjoyment. There is also a market that has lasted for about 1000 years. Every Wednesday, there is an arcade in the central square of the old city.

How to get there: There are regular trains to Gerona from Barcelona main station and Gracia Avenue, with a journey of 1.5 hours. You can also start from the northern coach station (Estació del Nord), and the journey is about 1 hour for 20 minutes.

Famous tourist attractions in Barcelona: Montserrat and Montserrat.

Located 60 kilometers northwest of Barcelona. Exposed layers of cylindrical rocks can be seen everywhere on the misty Montserrat mountain, which is the trace of erosion in the wind and rain years. It is said that Gaudi was inspired by the beautiful outline of the mountains here and built a steeple on the atonement church in Sancta familia. Think about it carefully, the two are really similar! Located in the embrace of the Monserrat Mountains, the Monastery of Monserrate is extraordinarily quiet and noble. It is the guardian of the spirit and soul of Catalonia. It has been a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages, and there are still about 80 monks living in seclusion here. This church, built in14th century, has a statue of the Virgin Mary and a baby in Rome for pilgrims from all over the world to worship. There are five exhibition rooms in the museum in the monastery, including archaeological relics from the holy places of Egypt, Cyprus and Palestine, gold and silver handicrafts from the 0/5th to the 20th century, paintings and sculptures with a long history, and works by modern masters such as Picasso and Dali. The exhibition in the audio-visual room shows visitors the daily life of monks and takes you into every corner of the temple through interactive CDs. There is also the Escara Youth Choir, which is one of the oldest choirs in Europe. Visitors can hear their beautiful songs in the afternoon and join the mass.

1987, Montserrat was designated as a national park, which means that historical buildings, plants and animals here will be protected by people, and further measures will be taken to provide better services for tourists.

How to get there: You can take the A2 exit along the Barcelona-Manresa Expressway, or you can take the Catalan operation railway from Spain Square to the Montserrat cable car station, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours.

Travels of Barcelona, Spain

Someone once said that if there is only one city that drives you crazy, it must be Barcelona. Barcelona is an ancient cultural city in Spain, the most famous tourist destination in Spain, and known as Manhattan in the Mediterranean. With its pleasant climate, beautiful scenery and numerous historical sites, it is known as the "Pearl of Iberian Peninsula". When you come to Barcelona, you must not miss Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Gouel Park, Milla House and bartholomew House. Also, it is that sunny, bright and warm winter (where I live, it is rainy and rainy in winter, so it is rare to see the sun).

We moved from Brussels to Barcelona one Christmas. After getting off the plane and standing in the bright sunshine, the gloomy mood brought by rainy days before departure was swept away. Putting down our luggage, we took off our thick winter clothes and went to Binhai Avenue without rest. Like many tourists, we appreciate the blue sea and feel the coolness brought by the sea breeze. During the stroll, we saw a group of young people in their twenties playing the horizontal bar with bare arms in a group of fitness equipment on the beach not far away, which made people feel so young!

This trip to Barcelona, as well as Gaudi's masterpiece, is our main purpose.

Gaudi's most famous architectural work is Sagrada Familia Cathedral, which is the most magnificent church in the world. This church is dedicated not only to Jesus, but also to Father Yue Se and the Virgin Mary. It is one of the few churches dedicated to Jesus' family in the world. This church is the symbol of Barcelona, and it is also the only unfinished building in the world that is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Gouel Park is a fantastic world inlaid with mosaics. Enter Gouel Park from the main entrance. At the entrance of the park, there is a cross building like a chapel. The roof and window frames are decorated with mosaics, sparkling and colorful. Without a few steps, you can see the famous colorful monitor lizard lying on the steps in travel magazines. It is said that it represents the symbol of Catalonia, and many tourists are surrounded to take photos with the monitor lizard. There were too many people, so I gave up the idea of taking pictures. I walked down the steps and climbed onto the big platform of the park. On the edge of the big platform, there is a mosaic seat that meanders. Every piece of the seat, if you look carefully, is an impressionist work of art. On the day of our visit, there were few people on the huge platform. A dozen young people chatted happily in a circle. We sat in chairs, basking in the sun and planning our next trip.

Mira House is located on Gracia Avenue, which is easy to find along the map. This is a private residence designed by Gaudi for the wealthy Mr. Milla at that time. Milla House is very atmospheric, with a wavy appearance and a patchwork roof. The whole building is like a rough sea, which is very dynamic. Chimneys and vents are like twisted fairy statues, rough but delicate.

From Milla's house, we saw bartholomew's house in less than ten minutes. It was as beautiful as a dragon shining in the night. This is my favorite work by Gaudi. Its outer wall is very eye-catching, and the overall effect is like Monet's water lily. Colored tiles and glass sheets are gently laid on the undulating outer wall. It is said that Gaudi gave all the colors in his life to bartholomew's house. The interior design of bartholomew residence is closely related to the theme of underwater world. There are free-roaming turtles, colorful conchs, naughty stars and various marine life above the wooden doors and windows. In order to balance the lighting, all the sunny patios in the atrium are made of blue tiles. From bottom to top, the color of tiles is getting darker and darker. Climbing stairs is like entering a mysterious underwater world. Along the stairs, we climbed to the top of the building. Under the lamplight, big chimneys made of various colors of glass and ceramics, from white to yellow, from orange to green, and from khaki to blue, suddenly brought me into a beautiful fairy tale hut. Behind bartholomew's house, there is a touching story. A beautiful princess was trapped in the castle by a dragon. Saint George, a legendary hero in Catalonia, fought with the dragon to save the princess, and finally killed the dragon and saved the princess.

There are fantastic buildings, warm sunshine in winter, delicious Spanish food and a leisurely pace of life. In my opinion, Barcelona is definitely a place worth visiting again. Goodbye, Barcelona!
