Northeastern University is a 2 1 1 engineering university and the first batch of 2 1 1 engineering universities and 985 engineering universities in China. "2 1 1 project" is a construction project facing the 2 1 century and meeting the challenge of the world's new technological revolution. Northeastern University, referred to as Dongda for short, is a research university of science and engineering directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), located in Shenyang, a city in the central part of Northeast China. The key national universities designated by the central government in 1960 and 1978 have realized the key construction of the Ministry of Education, Liaoning Province and Shenyang City. The school is the first batch of universities with bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree granted by the State Council.
