First, choose the topic.
During the summer vacation, my classmates and I discussed choosing a problem in a community for inquiry research. After everyone voted, I chose the topic "Investigation on the Use of Community Fitness Equipment". The reason why students want to study this topic is mainly to know whether people exercise in their spare time, how fitness equipment is used, how it is damaged, whether you know the correct use of fitness equipment and so on.
Second, the process of theme inquiry.
Most of the students in the research group did some research on some topics in the first semester, and they have certain experience and theoretical knowledge. Therefore, from the beginning, they decided on the form of investigation, such as investigation, interview, questionnaire, observation, photography, access to information and so on. According to these different forms, divide the team members and assign specific tasks.
(1) The students on the field trip took many photos of fitness equipment, including their instructions, residents' use and so on.
(2) The contents of the questionnaire designed by students are as follows:
1. Is there any fitness equipment in your community? Yes/no
2. Do you use fitness equipment? Often used/always used/occasionally used/never used.
3. Does the fitness equipment in your community have regular maintenance? Yes/No/Not clear
4. Then someone maintained it. Was it more than once? A month/half a year/year/unclear
Do you think the fitness equipment in the community is useful? Yes/No/I don't know.
6. Do you think the fitness equipment in your community is very old? Yes/No/Don't care
7. Does the community need fitness equipment? Of course/don't want to/never mind.
8. What do you think is the most important fitness equipment? Appearance/function/effect/no difference
In the process of investigation, they try to ask questions to different groups of people, reaching a certain number, which can be used as a more objective and true result. After students' induction, it can be seen that 95% of the people in the community have fitness equipment, and almost no one knows it. Even so, residents are not particularly concerned about fitness equipment: 60% people occasionally use fitness equipment; 30% people never use it; Only 10% people often use it. As for whether the fitness equipment is unattended, 50% people say it is not clear; 40% means maintenance; 10% of people said they didn't maintain it. As for how often to maintain it, 90% people actually said they didn't know! Fortunately, 90% people think fitness equipment is useful. Regarding the old and new fitness equipment, 80% people think that the fitness equipment in the community is still relatively new, 10% people think it is quite old, and 10% people don't care.
(3) Students obtain the following information by searching information on the Internet:
1, the use of fitness equipment in the community
The recent statistics show that the utilization rate of public fitness equipment in Beijing's residential areas exceeds 80%, and the utilization rate of fitness equipment in some residential areas even reaches 90% to 100%.
2. The current situation of fitness equipment in residential areas
In the community, you can find the fitness area as long as you follow the "squeaky" screw loosening sound. The reporter asked: "Aren't you afraid that the screw will fall if it is loose?" Aunt Zhang, who was exercising on a walker after dinner, said, "It's been ringing for months, it's okay!" " Without the "arm" stretcher and the waist twisting device of the turntable, the wheel of the rotary trainer will not rotate ... With such a big fitness angle, there are only three sets of fitness equipment with complete limbs in one set of fitness equipment. Among them, the most seriously damaged is the integrated trainer. The rope for practicing rock climbing has been fragmented, leaving a longer rope. I wonder who changed it into a swing. But the children are not disgusted. The whole body is on the rope, and the feet cross and swing back and forth. At this time, the rope will "squeak" with the rhythm of swinging.
Mr. Zhao Lao, who is working out, told reporters that these fitness equipment were installed in 2003, and the damage was very serious due to man-made damage. He said: "nearby residents are used to playing here, and some know that the fitness equipment is broken, so they exercise on it."
3. Who should maintain the community fitness equipment?
The reporter learned that the public fitness equipment in public places and communities in Harbin was built by the sports department with special funds from the sports lottery public welfare fund. According to the sports department, it is only responsible for project approval, equipment purchase and free installation, and the future equipment management and maintenance problems are solved by the recipient unit; Most of the public fitness equipment built in the community is managed by the jurisdiction, and it is difficult for street offices with relatively tight finances to pay for the maintenance of fitness equipment; For the fitness equipment built in the community, the property company with average economic benefits is unwilling to take over the maintenance of this hot potato of "only input, no return"; As for the maintenance, the manufacturers and sellers who supply fitness equipment to Harbin also expressed difficulties. They think that the biggest problem at present is that the damaged fitness equipment has passed the warranty period, and users are unwilling to pay the cost of purchasing accessories. Naturally, they can't fix it for nothing.
It is understood that the Harbin Sports Bureau showed the reporter two relevant regulations on who is responsible for the maintenance of public fitness equipment in Harbin: First, the maintenance and management of national fitness facilities is the responsibility of the recipient unit, and the municipal and district sports departments are responsible for supervision and inspection. Second, during the warranty period, the manufacturer is responsible for the free maintenance and replacement of the national fitness facilities and equipment within 48 hours, and the maintenance outside the warranty period.
Chen Ying, a resident of Xiangfang District, Harbin, told reporters that the citizens found that the fitness equipment was broken and immediately called the manufacturer. The fitness equipment that has passed the warranty period is broken, and the manufacturer is unwilling to repair it for free. And reflect to the recipient units that they often do not repair the damaged equipment on the grounds of lack of funds.
According to the regulations, if the maintenance obligation cannot be fulfilled, the management department of Harbin can ban the public fitness equipment installed in this area, but at present, Harbin has not banned the fitness equipment of a recipient unit that failed to fulfill the maintenance obligation. Director Shao said that this is because people are afraid not to do so.
Dong Hongyang, a researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences who has been paying attention to this newspaper, said that the long-term damage of public fitness equipment is not only a waste of resources, but also affects the landscape effect of the city, especially the squares and leisure parks in Harbin, where fitness equipment "lacks arms and legs", which greatly affects the image of the city. In addition, he believes that the biggest problem brought by the long-term maintenance of fitness equipment is the potential safety hazard. If you use the fitness equipment that has been in disrepair for a long time without knowing it, it is easy to cause personal injury. As the competent department, it should take the responsibility of coordinating the maintenance of fitness equipment, and can't coordinate the effective maintenance in time, but can't just ignore the maintenance problem.
4. Why are community fitness equipment easily damaged?
It is said that "life lies in exercise". In today's fast-paced life, more and more people pay attention to their quality of life. Fortunately, our living environment is constantly improving to improve our quality of life. Like the public fitness equipment often seen in various communities and parks, it is set up for the convenience of the masses. Once launched, it was warmly welcomed by Beijing citizens. It is a good thing for ordinary people to have such public facilities, but if the usage is not well grasped, there will be a situation of "going too far". Have you ever thought about how to use the fitness equipment around you scientifically and reasonably? To some extent, the group that uses fitness equipment most frequently in the community should be the elderly. Many old people have the habit of going to bed early and getting up early. You can often see them exercising seriously in the morning. However, few people pay attention to the purpose of fitness and the correct use of these devices. Because some instruments are difficult to use, they need some strength and skills, which are lacking in the physique of the elderly. Therefore, it is often seen that some old people use equipment to do "improvement exercises" by themselves, such as using the height of a stretcher to do leg press and other activities. This spirit of being good at using practical tools is really commendable, but at this time they often ignore the safety problems in use. If you don't use fitness equipment correctly, it is easy to cause sports injuries and even personal injuries, so be especially careful.
In addition to the elderly, many young people and children use fitness equipment during holidays. Sometimes it is inevitable that there will be food shortage, but we can often see some people playing with fitness equipment as their personal belongings, occupying most of the time, and it seems that they don't see other residents waiting to use it. After all, these devices are "public" property. While enjoying these conveniences, don't forget that you have the obligation and responsibility to maintain their reasonable use. It is nothing new that outdoor public facilities are destroyed, and so are fitness equipment. Because the usage rate is too frequent, this kind of equipment is also prone to "health problems", so everyone should pay attention to the scientific use method when using it.
5. How to use community fitness equipment correctly?
On May 12, 2003, we organized community sports players and community residents to systematically learn the exercise method of fitness path, and community sports instructors patiently explained and demonstrated ten kinds of fitness equipment installed in the community. First, we explained to the community residents the design principles of exercise methods, which should follow the principles of priority, pertinence, simplicity, practical principles and fun, and then we talked about scientific exercise.
In order to make community residents better master and use fitness equipment, we will further guide residents to master and exercise scientifically. Through this lecture and training, we will make the community residents fully participate in the national fitness activities. Community residents who came to participate in the study changed their previous wrong exercise methods through learning. They said happily: "This lecture is to do practical things and do good things for the people. We are all willing to take part in such activities and learn the correct ways to use them so as not to do harm to our health. Thank you! "
6. Matters needing attention
Public fitness equipment requires high safety. For example, the most popular "spacewalker" is obviously only suitable for adults according to the specifications between its feet, while the relevant warnings only stipulate the form of exercise and health taboos, and there is no special restriction on the age of users. And many teenagers also regard these devices as toys. At present, children's injuries caused by improper use of fitness equipment are increasing, and even serious injuries and disabilities have occurred. It is understood that the fitness equipment in the community is equipped for middle-aged and elderly people in principle, and fitness equipment suitable for children has not been installed yet.
Experts point out that engaging in a special sport too early is also harmful to underage children, including: fatigue fracture, menstrual disorder, excessive fatigue, eating disorder, emotional depression and so on. Therefore, experts believe that parents should encourage their children to participate in various sports activities, instead of hoping that their children will create miracles in certain sports when they are young.
Some parenting experts believe that according to children's physical development characteristics, parents can let their children do skipping, bouncing, bungee jumping, taking small balls, playing small football, playing small basketball, swimming and other sports. This not only helps to increase children's height, but also harms their health. In addition, for immature children, it is best not to exercise for more than one hour at a time, with an interval of more than ten minutes, and then exercise after rest. Don't do too much exercise in a day, as long as the children don't feel tired after exercise.
In recent years, a large number of public fitness equipment have appeared in various communities in Shanghai. As a practical project of the government, these devices have been supported by residents. However, most residents don't know that the fitness equipment in the community is not suitable for children. Yesterday, relevant experts pointed out that if the early warning is not thorough, good things will turn into bad things.
(3) Students' suggestions:
1, I hope residents can make full use of the fitness equipment in the community.
2. I hope residents can use fitness equipment correctly and prolong its service life.
3. It is hoped that relevant departments can regularly maintain fitness equipment and repair damaged equipment in time to ensure the safety of residents.
4. It is suggested that children should not use the fitness equipment in the community, so as not to hurt their health.
5. It is suggested to put some fitness equipment suitable for children in the community.
(4) Some experiences of students after the activity:
"In this activity, I was arranged to do a questionnaire, which was a breakthrough for me. I read many forms of questionnaires in advance, and after thinking, I finally designed my own questionnaire. However, in hindsight, there are still many shortcomings, such as the problem is not comprehensive enough to understand in detail the reasons why residents do not exercise; There are too few questions to be representative. I think if you design for me next time, I will definitely do much better than this time. "
"At first, I thought it was easy to do research. Just ask questions and take notes. I didn't expect to find it so difficult to succeed in the investigation after trying. To overcome your shyness, you must win each other's trust and cooperation with language, ask questions in an orderly way, and be able to withstand the experience of failure. "
"My biggest experience in this project is that many hands make light work. As long as everyone works together in Qi Xin in Qi Xin, everything can be done well. Everyone has business and quantity, discuss together, encourage together, share the ups and downs in the exploration process, and grow together. "
"To cooperate with you, we should have the spirit of collectivism, assemble on time, hand in materials on time, overcome difficulties by ourselves, and never give you any trouble. Through activities, my classmates and I are more United. "
"My job is to search for information on the Internet. I used to surf the Internet mainly to play games. After this job, I found so much information on the Internet, which really taught me a lesson first. "
Third, reflection after research.
(1) Harvest:
Through the research of inquiry topics, students can pay more attention to community construction and promote the solution of community problems. Cultivate students' sense of social responsibility in the process of exploring community problems. Try cooperative learning among classmates and practice the basic methods of observing society and investigating social problems. Cultivate students' ability to participate in social life.
(2) Where improvements are needed:
For a group of preppie students, it is a bit difficult to complete such a project. But according to my classmates' experience, my guidance may not be detailed enough, such as questionnaire design, information collection and so on. If we can give more guidance, we should be able to collect more and more meaningful content, and the research results of the subject will be more valuable.
